Chapter 22

"Ok but I've never heard of that shit before!"

Sam joked as he walked arm in arm with Camila down the long stretch of hall that lead to the canteen blissfully enjoying the day as they talk about random topics with no purpose

"Sam come on! Manifestation! It's like when you think about something and pray for something enough you have more chance of it coming into your life!"

Sam playfully rolled his eyes nodding his head just agreeing with the younger before her face turned white, she let go instantly of his arm and turned to face the wall holding her chest nervously

"Camila what the-"

Just as the words had left his mouth Sam noticed the skinny body that belong to Clara walk silently past the pair ignoring them, Sam reached for Camila's shoulder pulling her back to face him with a confused glare

"Ok what is wrong with you?"

Camila tried pulling from his grip to no luck as the man kept hold tightly to her small body not letting her move

"Nothing just leave it!"

Sam shook his head slightly as the girl so blatantly lied to him, he was very good at picking up on energy and Camila's was very much off

"What she said yesterday... what was that about?"

Camila looked up to the ceiling before taking a deep breath

"It doesn't matter!"

"Yes camila! It does! What was she talking about?"

The younger this time successfully broke away from Sam's grip pacing backwards slightly as a small tear formed in the corners of her eyes, the man was intrigued not only because it was obviously causing the girl to become distressed but because she was hiding whatever it was from Lauren and that would never turn out great

"Camila... please?"

The younger wiped at her eyes shuffling in her place as she contemplate telling him or not, it was too hard to even think about, her stomach hurt intensely at just the thought of the pair finding out

"I can't ... not now.."

Sam felt a sense of defeat as he knew the girl wasn't going to tell him anything, he just worried that this kind of stunt in front of Lauren would cause waves to deep for any of them to swim in, he simply reached forward and pulled the girl into a tight embrace stroking her thick hair under his fingertips before pulling away her shoulders to look at him

"Not now but you need to tell me..."

Camila nod sinking her head down into his chest as she tried to catch her nervous breath gathering herself enough to continue the day

Tonight was the night of the union party, a party that would hold some of the important business partners in the country and it was both Lauren and Mikes duty to attend, The whole news about Camila hadn't yet gone public however so unfortunately Max and her mother would also be in attendance

Mike and Lauren head first into the party followed shortly by Sam, Camila and Dinah who stroll in joining the two around an hour later, Lauren stood pressed against the bar happily talking as her drink sat behind her patiently waiting for her hand

"Holy shit you look great Mami!"

Lauren voiced as her wife strut up to wrap her hands lightly around her waist smiling intently as the elder lent in to place a short but passionate kiss onto her lips
