I walked into his office
"Lexi, it's good to see you again" Joshua said
"You too" I replied
I sat down on the chair
"Ok, so Aidan won't sign off?" He asked
"Yeah, I told him I'll go to court if he won't and he still won't budge" I said
"Ok, that's gonna be a issue, but we will try to get the judge to overrule" he said
"Ok" I replied
"I'm gonna need a personal testimony about what Aidan has caused. I will see if the judge will overrule it, but knowing Aidan he will fight back and will get his lawyer involved" he said
"Great" I said
Note the sarcasm
"I know, we have two timelines. One where Aidan doesn't fight back and the judge will just overrule and the second timeline is him fighting back and going to court and having a trial" he said
"How long is the time span" I said
"The first one will take roughly 4 months. The second I've roughly 7-8 months" he said
I would be 18 in 8 months.
"Oh god" I said
"I know, with the second option you will be close to 18" he said
"Ok," I said
"Do you want to start your testimony now?" He asked
"Yeah" I replied
He grabbed his phone and hit record
I told him my story, not mentioning the mafia part but everything else. The drugs, the injury, the depression.

He ended the recording
"Wow lexi, now I understand" he said
"Yeah" I said
"Ok, I will meet with the judge that was assigned to your case, but I do need you there." He said
"Ok, what time" he asked
"3:30" he said
"Ok" I replied
I have physical therapy.
"Ok Lexi, it was good meeting you today. I hope this trial is easiest as possible but it might not be" he said
"Yeah, thank you for squeezing me in today" I replied
"I'll see you tomorrow" he said
"See you tomorrow" I replied
I left his office and went downstairs, I called dr jones to reschedule to Friday.
I went home and didn't talk to anyone. I did my homework, then ate dinner.
It was now the next day. It was lunch time and I told james and Jenna I'm going to the courthouse.
"So you're really doing this?" Jenna asked
"Yup" I replied
"If Aidan decides to go to court are you still gonna go with it?" James asked
"No, because by the time we get the verdict I would be 18 in 1-2 months" I said
"Oh" he said
"Yeah" I replied
"Well, whatever happens it's for the best" Jenna said
