"Lexi what happened" Andrew asked
I didn't know what to say.
"I was aiming to throw my book on my bed but accidentally hit the window." I said. Hopefully they would believe it
"Lexi you gotta be more careful" Jaden said
"Sorry" I said
"Sleep in the guest room tonight, I don't want you to sleep with a broken window, I don't want any bugs or anything flying in while you sleep" Aidan said
"Ok" I replied
"Also go to bed you have school tomorrow" Ryan said
"Ok" I mumbled
I grabbed my blanket and pillow and went to the guest room.
"Goodnight Lexi" Andrew said
"Good night" I mumbled
After him leaving I locked the door and opened the door and went to the roof. I looked up at the stars and cried. I cried for a good 30 minutes then watch the stars for 30 more minutes.
I went back inside and slept. I woke up with more text and calls from my friends and extended family. I changed into my school clothes, and did my makeup and went downstairs. I had still hope they would surprise me. I grabbed cereal and ate my breakfast.
"Goodmorning Lexi" Andrew said
"Morning" I replied
"Oh Lexi" Andrew said
There was a spark of hope, Was he gonna tell me happy birthday.
"Don't forget that we will be at the football game cheering on your brothers, we expect you to be with us for a bit" he said
"Oh ok" I said with a sadness behind it
I finished my cereal and waited outside the car. Ryan and Jaden came out. We got in the car and started driving to school
"Lexi are you excited for today" Jaden asked
Were they talking about my birthday?
"For what" I asked
"For the football game dummy" Jaden said
"Oh" I replied
"You're gonna be there, right?" Ryan asked
"Yeah" I said still sad
They all forgot my birthday. There was no point in telling them because it wouldn't make it better. We reached school and I right away got out of the car. I didn't want to be stuck in the car with them. I walked into school and all of my friends swarmed me.
"Happy birthday" they all said
"Thank you" I replied
They all got my gifts
"You guys didn't need to, seriously" I said
"It's your birthday of course we do" Jenna said
Everyone laughed.
"Hey we gotta go to class don't want to be late" jack said
The rest of the day went smooth and fun. I got a lot of birthday wishes, and Jenna and James brought chick fil a.
"Ok Lexi you're riding with us" Jenna said
"Ok" I replied
We all went to Jenna and James place and she decorated it with balloons and streamers.
