"Lunch is here madam" Linda announced as she walked into my room.
Finally taking my attention away from the sparkling ring that laid on my finger, I shifted my gaze to her.
It was only a few hours that had passed since I had signed my future away to a man I truly disliked and fear.
After he had left the living room, after declaring that I was now married to him, I was taken back to my room where I rested and reflected on my earlier decisions.
Even after I was married to him, I was not certain if this was what I wanted. I mean, freedom is what I certainly want but...to do this?
I don't know...I kept thinking that maybe I shouldn't have...however, one of the most important things I longed for...was granted to me, and I could only change my mind and accept his offer.
Yes, I am bothered by the fact that I placed my future into the hands of a man I certainly can not and will never trust but...after all, I do belong to him...even before we were married, weren't I?
In addition, I did get something back in return and that was the ownership to my body.
So...at at least there is something good that came out of that, right?
And not to forget, I do get to be free in the end. That is if he, hopefully, keeps his words...
But, what was more bothersome to me was that I had become a bride just seconds after I had agreed to his offer. And now my mind is exploding with all sorts of questions that I needed answers to.
