"Sir!" Called Butler Barkley as he reached the living room.

He walks towards me, stopping a few feet away. Seeing that I was still on the phone, he stood there and patiently waited for my call to end.

"We'll discuss everything tomorrow," I told Mr. Rodugias, another one of my close friends, before eventually ending the call.

"What is it?" I put my phone away, now turning to face him.

He raised his head, replying to my question. "You things have been placed in madame's room, sir"

I nodded my head at his answer. "And...my wife?" I went on to ask.

My eyes were stuck to him as I waited for a certain answer, one that I was hoping to hear.

"Madame is awake, Sir." He responded.

I was hoping that my wife would be asleep since I believe that is the only possible way I would be able to focus on my work...without any distractions, However, it seems like this woman would just not go to sleep.

I exhale, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"You can leave," I say, dismissing him and he leaves in haste.

Taking a final breath, I decided not to waste any more time and soon made my way towards her room. It was only minutes later that I was now standing in front of her door and with no hesitations, I entered.

I planned to head straight to where my things were and began my work without even sending a glance her way. I did not care.

I did not care about anything else other than getting my work done as soon as possible for I have little time on my hands. So that's exactly what I did.

My eyes immediately went to some of the papers that Butler Barkley brought up and seeing that they were already laid out for me, I immediately began to make my way towards them.

My feet never once came to a stop and eyes were completely stuck to my things, never once leaving them to wonder anywhere else...well that was until I made the mistake of looking away.

My eyes wandered off for a second and happened to somehow land on a tray filled with...food?

A frown immediately made its way to my face.
