Hogwarts head girl Emily Tyler stalked over to Bill Weasley, her fellow Gryffindor prefect turned head boy. "How are the kids doing?"
"No need to be so sarcastic. Plus, they're 15. They're-not-kids."
"That doesn't change the fact that you're hanging out with students two years younger than you, Bill. And I'd expect more from the head boy mingling with troublemakers like Jackson. Speaking of which, can you believe that Dumbledore put so many members of your 'vault squad' as prefects? I mean-"
"Eh, there are worse choices out there," groaned Bill. "Like how Barnaby Lee is a prefect because Slytherins suck as usual."
"I'm heading on my patrol," said Emily. "Smell ya later."
"Again, no need to be sarcastic." Bill turned off in the other direction and thought about the squad.
Now they had to save Alex Jackson. For real.
And he had zero idea that this vault would be a zillion times harder.
