Time ticked by as slowly as ever as Hogwarts students anxiously awaited Dumbledore to arrive at the Halloween feast. "I wanna eat already!" moaned Charlie.
"Be patient," Rowan reminded him.
Ben looked around the great hall again. "Uh... Are you guys sure the skeleton isn't staring at me?"
"Stop asking silly questions every single Halloween, Ben, of course it isn't," laughed Dani.
Just then, Filch and Mrs. Norris marched into the great hall. "Minerva, Filius, Severus, Pomona? I have a message from Dumbledore."
"What is it?" asked McGonagall, rising from her seat and follwing Filch out, as did Flitwick, Snape and Sprout.
"What's going on?" Bill asked?
"No idea," shrugged Rowan.
"Still don't know EVERYTHING, do you?" joked Dani.
Just then, the head of houses rushed into the great hall again, a sense of urgency on their faces. McGonagall went straight towards the Gryffindor table and waved her arms for attention.
"The feast has been postponed. I've been told to escort you back to your common rooms."
Dani was about to follow McGonagall and the rest of the Gryffindors out of the great hall when Penny ran over. "Dani... Just a maybe... Could this be connected to the vaults?"
"You're right," agreed Dani. "Let's go investigate."
Slipping out of the crowd, Dani and Penny left the castle. The chilly November breeze came a night early as the girls quickened their pace towards the training grounds.
To their horror, they had company.
Three burly werewolves stood over what looked very much like a student, as if they were about to devour her.
To make matters worse, contrary to what she saw in the greenhouses at the beginning of her third year (that was a boggart), they looked very much real.
Penny turned on her heel and sprinted back to the castle, and well, she wasn't Ben, but Dani didn't blame her. She decided that she needed to help the student.
"DEPULSO!"
The werewolf in the middle ducked out of the way just in time. "Oh look, another student. She'd make a nice meal-"
His eyes suddenly grew wide in horror and he and his cronies ran off into the night. Dani wheeled around to see Dumbledore behind her, pushing to get in. "Miss Lobosca!"
Lobosca. Dani knew who she was.
Chiara Lobosca was a Hufflepuff in Dani's year, whom Dani didn't know really well despite having Herbology with her. Dani wondered what she was doing in the training grounds. Deciding that she didn't want to get into further trouble, she decided to return to the Gryffindor common room before Dumbledore could punish her.

The next day, in Charms, a man in a purple coat and hat burst in, interuppting Flitwick's speech (ahem, SQUEAKS) about arresto momentum. "Excuse me, I'd like to have a chat with Danielle Jackson-she's in this class, right?""Uh, of course she is," said Flitwick, still a little shocked.
"Perfect, I've already crashed the Ravenclaw fifth-years' DADA, AND the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff fourth-years' Herbology. Anyway, I'd like to have a chat with her."
"Oh." Dani slipped out of the classroom behind the man.
"Allow me to introduce myself," said the man once they were outside. "I'm Cecil Lee from the werewolf capture unit of the ministry of magic. I'm sure you have classes with my nephew, Barnaby."
"I do. We're... Friends," said Dani, deciding it was obvious she shouldn't tell him she has a crush on his nephew.
"I know, he's told me about you," said Cecil. "He's the brightest mind of the Lee family, you know."
"Wow," Dani decided not to say, 'you guys must be pretty hopeless.'
"Back on point, Dumbledore informed me that you saw werewolved at school last night. We've determined that one of them is Fenrir Greyback, a particularly dangerous werewolf we're after. Now, we need to know everything you can tell us..."
