"STUPEFY!"
Dani's spell hit the last dummy standing square in the chest and sent it rolling backwards before falling backwards onto the damp lawn with an audible thump.
"You're getting really good at this," complimented Bill. "Knockturn Alley ready, if I say so myself."
"Unlike me," groaned Merula, flipping through Bill's notes on floo powder ("Still the responsible one," commented Dani).
"Oh come on, best witch at Hogwarts," said Dani, flopping onto the grass next to Merula. Rakepick had given them permission to practise in the training grounds in the evenings to prepare for the dangerous journey.
"Actually, I have a question," said Bill, sitting down next to the girls. "Why us? I mean, there are so many members of the vault squad-"
"-But not a ton of them are actually good at this kind of stuff," explained Dani. "I think Rakepick wants us to survive all of this."
"Damn right she does, I'm really hating these extra classes," mumbled Merula as she tried to toss the notebook onto Bill's lap but missed him by a few inches.
"Then I guess now we pray that she didn't pick the wrong people," said Dani. "Shall we get inside before it starts raining?"
