Chapter Fifty Three

Kira could feel it-she could feel the subtle changes.

It had only been a few weeks since the incident at the Summer villa and Kira had been resuming her duties with the addition to having weekly checkups with Hatori.

As for Akito, with Kira being back to her usual self-She had started to openly avoid her. The one main reason was that Shigure had been coming over innumerable times since-and she was not aware of what had gone on when he did visit.

The reason for his visits was simply reporting everything that had gone on outside.

Kira droned through the silence that had been going on for a good couple of minuted.

She had been not at all surprised that Shigure had decided to visit since the villa because she knew that regardless of harsh words, it would never stop him.

She finally spoke up, from her place leaning on him, "Kazuma told me that Tohru came to him, a couple of days ago"

"Tohru did? Did he say what for?"

"She asked him the same thing that Isuzu asked him" Shigure did not say anything, because had also told Kira about the time Rin came over to ask him the same question. However, he truthfully told the teen the same thing that Kazuma told her.

He did not know.

"Until I somehow regain my memories, I won't be able to answer the question either. It is why I never cared about the goal you had for a long time. Though even if I did know, I'll need Akito. It has to be done together"

"So, it is possible"

"Of course, it is and you know it, Shigure" Kira shifted to face him placing a hand on his cheeks," You can feel it, can't you?"

Shigure lifted one of his hands placing it on Kira's hair," So, it is coming"

"Hmm, that depends if Tohru can continue to enable it, however, I have no doubts that she would" Kira leaned forward placing her lips close to his ear, " While your methods are crude, I will continue to trust that you'll handle things on the outside"

A couple of hours later, Shigure had left and Kira had gone over to Hatori's. She had known from the usual routine of visitations, Ayame would be over for the weekly cup of tea he had with Hatori.

"Ah, Kira" Ayame was currently alone, since Hatori was still working," Have you come to join me?"

"Well, I don't see the harm, since I did want to speak with you anyways, Ayame"

"With me?" Ayame dramatically placed a hand on his chest," Have you decided that I was suitable enough to be a candidate in your interest?"

Kira rolled her eyes walking over to sit on the deck with them. She did not bother to respond to his question, knowing that it would just strike into dramatics that ends up making her forget her real goal of visiting in the first place.

"Career counselling interviews are next week, I heard Yuki had decided on asking your mother to attend"

Ayame looked down and by habit, he had grabbed his braided hair," It would seem so, I was rather shocked when I heard about it, but then again it's not as if he had anyone else to ask"

"Hmm," Kira tapped her fingers on the wooden deck," It may seem that way, but I think that's where you can finally break that final wall. It's the perfect opportunity and it's that time for you to finally reach out your hand to him"

"Do you really think that is the time?" Ayame asked carefully and Kira chuckled making him look up at her.

She turned to him while leaning on her propped-up knee," You know it is, so don't let it go to waste, Ayame. Do what you couldn't all those years ago and meet him halfway"
