Chapter Ninety One

Kira walked along the Main Estate after having discussed with the former Zodiacs with her sister.

None of them had said anything when her and Akito finished, but both of them had expected it. So as soon as they realized it, they had properly dismissed themselves, having been done with their goal.

Maybe some of them would want more than just being told they're free, but even if they did, Akito and Kira did all they could. They set them free and allowed them to do what they wanted. It did not mean that there was nothing left for them anywhere. If they chose to stay or leave, Kira and Akito did not need to be told or asked.

It was their life now.

Akito had instantly met with Kureno who was waiting outside the hall. Though as for Shigure, his whereabouts were still unknown. So, Kira knew that somehow it was him telling her to find him.

So, she that was what she was doing.

For a while, it took her a few guesses of locations, but none were of luck. During the time of her search, Kira knew now without having the ability to sense him or anyone anymore, she realized just had mundane it was.

The reality was still not fully sinking in that she was no longer a God-both her and Akito. However, it was going to take a while, so even if they already knew it was over, there would still be times when they forget about it.

When Kira was lost in her thoughts, she found herself shaking her head remembering a place she had not checked.

So, she was quick to turn and take the path that she always used when younger. It was strangely odd going the direction, because when she lost her memories-she realized that the location was somewhere she's hasn't been since.

It took a few minutes to actually get there and when she did, she slowed her pace. Just down the hall, just as she had expected was Shigure sitting at the edge of the patio. One of his legs rested on his other thigh while the dangled down the deck.

"I was wondering where you snuck off too, Shigure" Kira repeated his words and just as what she has done, he did not turn and just hummed. However, instead of making flower crowns, was just a book balancing on his leg.

She walked over and sat next to him and dangled her feet as well and keep looking forward.

"How did things go?" He asked and she lightly chuckled looking up to the night sky.

"Well, it went as what we all expected. No one said anything, but we did manage to apologize and say what we needed. It was hard, really, but...at this point, Akito and I have decided that how they feel about us, be it be hatred or pity, we chose to just keep moving forward"

"That is a way to go," Shigure nodded and lowered his leg, ignoring the fact that the book on it fell to the ground below. He shifted and turned to face her using his arms to drag her into an embrace," Congratulations on the new you, Kira"

Kira lifted her hands and gripped the back of his clothes," The new me, huh?"

"Yeah, how does it feel?"

"Still unreal...but also very happy..." She voiced leaning back and looking up at him," I love you so much, Shigure. Thank you for staying by my side for all these years, even if for the most part I was unaware of it"

Shigure smiled bringing on of his hands to her cheek," I did promise that I'd always be there, from then until forever. I love you, Kira...I have never been able to say it before, but I was born to be with and love you, just remember that"

Kira let out a laugh as tears fell down her face," My destined love that I never knew was true, thank you Shigure, for being the one who taught me that it was true"

"From now on, I'll continue to prove it, so be prepared" Shigure whispered leaning forward and connecting their lips.
