Chapter Fifty

Shigure watched from the corner of the room with Hatori, as Kira interacted with the Hatsuharu and Yuki.

Akito was currently speaking with Kyo-in the farthest of the inner rooms and her direct orders were that they keep Kira occupied, not wanting her near 'the monster'.

"What did Akito tell them?" Shigure asked watching Kira currently clinging onto Hatsuharu.

Hatori kept his eyes on Kira, making sure she doesn't end up accidentally hurting herself, "Most of what he told you-Kira, don't hang off Hatsuharu like that,"

"Waa, Torii is being such a party pooper," Kira grumbled letting go of Hatsuharu who was naturally calm with the situation," Yuki, Yuki!"

"And he quickly changed targets" Shigure laughed in amusement

"Shigure, you are supposed to be helping," Hatori turned to him

Shigure lifted his hands while shaking his head, "He won't listen to me, in case you forgot?"

"Yes, Kira?" Yuki smiled to Kira who was sitting in front of him

Kira stared at him for a few seconds, before she grinned," You and Aya look alike, but I definitely love you more." Hatori and Shigure both turned away at the words-both wanting to laugh.

"Good job, Kira, I love Yuki as well," Hatsuharu pats her shoulder and showing her thumbs up. Kira immediately grinned following his hand gesture

"Haru..." Yuki placed a palm to his face sighing

"What? I am not lying"

The two had ended up bantering and Kira snuck away to the adults, which surprised Shigure since she made it her goal to avoid him at all cost.

"What's wrong, Kira?" Hatori asked and she pursed her lips before sitting down.

"Akito is very angry right now," Kira placed her hands on her chest," It hurts"

Shigure took the chance to lean forward and move her hair from her face. She had flinched, but when she looked up at him, he smiled making her get up and wrap her arms around him. While in his arms, Kira had felt her eyes grow heavy, since it was around the time, she had her afternoon nap.

The teenagers took their chance to come over, seeing Shigure move Kira's head to his leg.

"Will he be like this forever?" Hatsuharu asked the question that was practically in everyone's mind.

Hatori sighed shaking his head," I don't think so, it might only be temporary"

"Might?" Yuki repeated while leaning on his knee," Does it have to do with the scar on the back of his neck?"

The adults looked up at the teen before sharing a look. Shigure looked down to see the scar, that literally pained him every time he saw it. It was one of the other reasons that he was glad Kira had unconsciously grown her hair.

"When Kira was 5 years old, he had an accident. It could be that his mind is slowly recovering the memories," Hatori explained, before turning to Shigure who was looking down at Kira.

"Kira had an accident?" Yuki asked with widened eyes, followed by Hatsuharu also looking up in surprise.

"One that almost killed him, yes," Hatori said slowly before looking away.

Shigure placed his finger on the scar, before looking up to the teens "And I'm the reason it ended up happening"
