Chapter Eighty Seven

Kira almost gagged from her own toothbrush, after Shigure suddenly announced something. She took a moment to rinse her mouth and ran out of her bathroom to him as he set up their futon.

"What did you say?!" Kira practically huffed from moving too fast

He chuckled fluffing the pillow," I said that I've spoken to my editors and told them I was going to quit writing"

"But...why?" She asked in disbelief not letting the words sink in. Shigure got up from the floor and walked over to her and placed his hand on cheek.

"From the start, the writing was just a job to have funds to pay for my necessities. It's not something that I did because I loved it or anything. I do not need it anymore, because I'll be working alongside you"

"I..." Kira looked down," I don't need you to do that, Shigure...this is not something you have to do"

"I know, I am doing it because I want to. I mean no offence, but you, Akito and Kureno are not as experienced in dealing with clients. Which is why I knew it was a good idea to do most of those business meetings because let's face it, I really do not have faith in you three to keep things going well"

Kira groaned knowing he was right, all three of them were isolated from most of the business management. While she did handle things Akito couldn't the majority of business handled outside was always done with the maids and since the twins decided it was best to finally replace the ones that done nothing but try to manipulate them, they were in a dead-end of not knowing what to do next.

"Should I be worried that this was the plot all along?" Kira said sarcastically with a smirk lacing her lips," Did you work your way up just to take it all for yourself?"

Shigure played along and placed a hand under his chin," How did you manage to figure that out? I was so sure that I was careful"

"I am appalled, I can not believe you've done this, Shigure" Kira stepped back and placed the back of her hand on her forehead and dramatically sighed," I feel so betrayed, to think you seduced me just to take this all for yourself"

Shigure grinned and bent down slightly wrapping his arms just below her bottom lifting her up and practically throwing her over his shoulder. It caused her to squeal and mildly thrash around," Ah, no! I swear, I will not exploit your evil deed!"

He then shifted his hands and lowered her to the futon," I am not sure I can believe those words" He stated hovering her over and placing his hands on the side of her head," Unless you can convince me"

"You want me to" She lifted a finger and ran it up from his neck to his chin," Show you how I can do that?"

"Oh my, are you perhaps planning to seduce me?" He lowered his head barely touching his nose on her own, his hot breath started to send chills down her spine.

Kira smirked snaking her hands around his neck and lowering his head. Their lips were just barely half and inch away from each other," I am confident that I can convince you"

Shigure hummed leaning forward and connecting their lips.

"Then convince me" He whispered and Kira reconnected their lips not allowing him to utter another word.
