Chapter Fifty Five

When Tohru was forwarded the message that Kira wanted to see her, she was beyond nervous.

However, Shigure had reassured her that if she was worried, she can ask either Yuki or Kyo to go with her, but just like he had expected, she quickly rejected the option.

"You don't have to be so nervous, Tohru" Hatori walked alongside her as he escorted Tohru through the Estate," Kira is not calling you over because you have done something, he is just going to tell you something important"

"Important?" Tohru asked meekly and Hatori turned to her and gave her an encouraging smile.

"Yes, it would seem that things are calling for it" Tohru had no longer asked questions and just followed after him in silence. Taking a couple more of turns, Hatori stopped in front of a door," Kira told me that if you feel unsafe, I can stay out here and wait for you"

"That's okay" Tohru smiled looking down," I trust Kira"

"Awh, that is so sweet, Tohru" The sliding door suddenly opened, making Tohru literally jump in fright at her unexpected appearance,"I would appreciate it, Hatori if you did let the servants bring us some tea and snacks since I do plan to have a long talk with Tohru"

Hatori nodded and patted Tohru's shoulder before walking down the long corridor. Kira had opened the door and allowed the teenager to walk into the room.

Kira had settled sitting near the window as she motioned for Tohru to sit down, which she did without question.

"Thank you for coming over, Tohru. I was kind of worried that you wouldn't come...since you do know my position, right?"

Tohru looked at Kira in surprise, but then gathered that it was not hard to imagine that the news got around.

"Yes...Akito had told me...at the Villa"

Kira sighed before lowering her head, making Tohru flustered at the action," I apologize for not telling you. It's just that at the time, you knowing just did not seem like something I felt for you to be aware of. However, considering how things have been changing...and with you knowing about the curse-the secret was something that would have been revealed someday. Though, I wish that I was the one to tell you and not my brother"

"Br...Brother? Are you Akito's brother?"

Kira looked up and blinked at her words," Wait...Didn't Akito tell you?"

"Um...No, he just told me that you held the same position..." Tohru then lowered her head in realization.

"Actually" Kira placed a hand on her chin," If you really look at it, Akito and I are fraternal twins, not identical. So, it is not hard to make the mistake, since we look nothing alike-except for our eyes"

"Anyways, I didn't call you here to discuss that," Kira laughed lightly waving her hand.

She was about to speak, but they were interrupted by the servants who had arrived with the tea and snacks. It took a few minutes for them to settle everything before leaving.

"You asked Kazuma if there was a way to break the curse" Kira finally said after she heard the footsteps fade down the hall.

Tohru looked dismayed at the words, that left Kira's lips. She was not sure how to respond, since she was warned by Rin on how asking such a question like that was risky.

"I...I" Tohru peered down, making her bangs cover her eyes.

Kira lowered her cup and stood up walking over to Tohru and lifting her head up," I don't have the answer for it, because unfortunately, I lost my memories from an accident many years ago. Though, to be honest, even if I did have the answer...I need Akito as well to break the curse"

Tohru let out a breath as her eyes broadened, "You want to break it?"

"I can't say yes or no, but I won't stop you, Tohru. Just like how I won't stop Isuzu. However, I will tell you one thing, it is a lot of weight that will keep being added to your shoulders, are you prepared for it? Are you ready for the obstacles that will come your way?"

"I...I don't know if I am ready or if I am prepared at all, but I won't give up," Tohru's eyes started to tear up, but she kept her resolve strong," Even if I can't personally break it, I want to do anything to help break it, because...because I want all of them to be free"

Kira moved her hand to Tohru's cheek before smiling," I will believe in you, Tohru"
