I walk up the stairs to my second-floor apartment, shuffling through my mail.

My dearest Harper

I gasp before dropping everything in my arms. I quickly pick up the contents before running into the apartment. I rip open the envelope and read the note.

I loved you and you betrayed me. I'm back don't think you can run from me. -K

My vision goes spotty as I feel my legs give out from under me.

I wake up to the familiar lights of a hospital room. "Hello?" I look around for a familiar face. "Look who's up." Spencer coos to our daughter. "Spencer." I smile weakly.

"Everything is okay, you fainted." He explains. "A letter." I croak out. "I know love." He answers. "He's back," I whisper. "Harper, he's not." My dad interrupts.

"How do you know?" I question. "Because Spencer shot him." My father replies. "What?" "We found him and he tried to run again, so, I shot him. Simon Keller is dead Harper." Spencer explains.

"Is it wrong for me to be relieved?" I smile lightly. "Not at all, he ruined your life before it could even begin." My dad explains. "Come here, baby." I reach for Bethany. She rests her head on my chest and slowly falls asleep.

"I don't know what I would do without you two." I smile at Spencer. "We love you too Harper."
