“Where are we going?”I asked Twixx while he’s packing my things inside my room
“Twixx?”
“I’m keeping you away from danger, Eri”
“What’s happening? Why we need to run? What about the board exam? Malapit na iyon”I said.
“Forget about the board exam, Eri. I need you to keep safe from my family”hindi ko maintindihan kung ano ang nangyayari.
Kung bakit bigla na lang kami lalayo.
“Is it true, Twixx?”and I’m starting to ask things to him.
“Na hindi na tayo tinutulungan ni Axel kasi mainit iyong pamilya niya ngayon sa batas? Na nahuli iyong tatay niya? Na Pinahuli ng tatay mo iyong tatay niya kasi nalaman nil ana tinutulungan nila tayo?”
He didn’t reply.
“Twixx!”I yelled at him and he clenched his fist and held the bag tight.
“It is, Eri!”I covered my mouth when he confirmed the accusation. “And now I’m keeping you away from them! So, help me pack your things”
I can’t move.
Natatakot ako. Wala nang prumoprotekta sa amin. Iyong baby ko. Paano iyong baby ko? Madali na lang nila akong masasaktan ngayon lalo pa’t wala nang pumoprotekta sa amin, sa akin.
“Ericka!”
“I’m not going with you…”I said, but he didn’t looked at me and continued to pack my things.
“I said I’m not going with you. So, stop packing my things!”
“Papatayin ka nila, Ericka! Do you think I would let them do that?”he said then grabbed my arms going out of the unit.
Hindi ko inaalala iyong sarili ko, inaalala ko iyong kaligtasan ng anak namin ni Twixx.
“Bitawan mo ako, nasasaktan ako!”I pushed him away from me, but he grabbed my hands and pulled me inside the elevator.
“Do we really need to do this, Twixx? Do we really need to run?”I asked him while we’re riding the elevator.
“This is the only choice left, Eri.”he replied. I can see those eyes filled with tears. I know that he’s scared.
“We will go to Pampanga, may rest house roon si Charles. We can stay there for a while just to keep you safe”
I held his hands. “I trust you, Twixx”
“I will protect you, Eri. Hindi ako papayag na may mangyaring masama sa iyo. Hindi ako papayag na saktan ka nila”I know that whenever I’m with Twixx, I am safe.
“I would die for you. I would kill for you”
He drove silently to Pampanga. I was just sitting beside him, watching the road we we’re taking. Para kung may masamang mangyari ay alam ko kung paano kami makakabalik ni Twixx. Kuya was calling me, but I refused to answer his calls.
Baka kapag nalaman niya kung nasaan kami ay baka madamay pa sila. Twixx can’t protect all of us, he can only protect me and our baby.
“I am scared…”
“Me too. But I want to keep you safe, Eri”he said and the he held my hands tight.
“Mamamatay muna ako bago ka nila saktan”
I saw Charles waiting for us in the front of the rest house. We arrived at the middle of the night, mabuti na lang at gising pa siya. He looks so worried, parang may mali sa nangyayari.
