“You’re not okay”Stephen sat beside me while I’m watching the moon.
“My mom wants me to stay away from the person I really love”I explained.
“From Twixx?”he asked then I nodded.
Loving is easy, staying in love is hard. How can I stay away from the people who can make me happy?
“I know that even your mom asked you to stay away from him, you will still fight for Twixx”I looked at him and smiled. “Tss. I know you so well, Ericka”
We both chuckled. “Goodluck, future doc”
“Thanks, future Attorney”
“Gagraduate na ako this year. Malapit na talaga ako maging Attorney”napangiti ako sa sinabi niya.
Malapit na naman kami magkaroon ng Attorney sa pamilya. Isang taon na lang, Attorney na rin ang kuya ko.
“Is it bad if I say that I wanna be your client someday?”I chuckled.
“I can give you legal advice, Ericka. But please I don’t want to defend you on court because you did something illegal or against the law”
“Mukha ba akong gagawa ng illegal, ha, Stephen?”I said as we both laugh.
“Keep in mind that when your heart is covered with anger, you can commit a crime”he said and I was listening like a kid to him. “So as much as the world treat you the way you didn’t deserve to be treated, be a good citizen”
“Thank you for giving me an advice”I chuckled then he patted my shoulders.
“Do you think that I will become a good Attorney?”he asked me then I looked at him and nodded.
I can’t see any reason why not. He’s always doing well in class.
“I know that you will be a good one. I trust you, Attorney”I said.
“Ma’am, may naghahanap po sa inyo sa lobby ng resort”I looked at the resort’s staff while thinking who’s looking for me--- oh no.
“I need to go. I’ll see you later”I said to Stephen before I ran.
When I went to the lobby of our resort, I saw Twixx standing and holding he’s luggage. What the hell is he doing here?
“I found you…”he said while grinning at me.
“Let’s go. I know that you’re starving”I held his hand and pulled him away from the lobby.
“Are you two leaving?”I stopped walking when I heard mom’s voice.
“Mom…”I looked at her and she gave me a smile.
“Why don’t you stay for a while, Twixx?”mom said.
“He need to go somewhere, mom”I lied.
“I’m not going anywhere, Eri”I looked at Twixx and he’s smiling. He’s smiling even he didn’t know the reason why I’m asking him to go away.
“You can stay here, Twixx”mom said.
Tinawag din ni mommy iyong staff ng resort para asikasuhin ang tutulugan ni Twixx.
“Food is ready. Why don’t you join us, Twixx?”I didn’t expect that he’s saying those words to Twixx.
Akala ko ba I need to stay away from him? Why did she want Twixx to stay?
“I would love to!”Twixx smiled and followed my mom.
My lips parted while I’m watching Twixx following mom going to our house.
