“You’ll get me out of here, right?”I asked Markus while waiting for the prosecutor.
“I know you didn't try to kill her. You didn't do something illegal, right?"I nodded.
“Then I’ll get you out of this fucking prison, Twixx. Just trust me on this one,”he replied.
Markus wasn't in the Top of the BAR Exam, but that doesn't define how he will rule inside the court. I know how badly he is working for this case, hindi pa siya graduate noon ay pinag-aaralan na niya ang kaso ng pamilya ko.
Alam ko na naplano na niya lahat. Alam ko na naplano na rin niya kung ano ang gagawin niya sa sitwasyon na ito. Kitang-kita ko 'yon kay Markus, alam ko na hindi niya ako papabayaan. Alam ko na kung magtutulungan kami ay makukuha naman ang hustisya na matagal na naming inaasam.
"What about you? Pinoprotektahan ka ba nila sa labas, ha? Sigurado ako na nas delikado na ang buhay mo."natatakot lang ako na mawalan na naman ng taong mahalaga sa buhay ko.
"Do you think I'm afraid to die?"he asked me back.
"You know my father kills all of his enemies, Markus... And now he's treating me like I'm one of those."my situation right is making me unhopless, but I need to get out of here. Hindi ito ang buhay na gusto ko.
Silence.
"What if you're just setting my foot on my own grave, Markus? And the worst part is--- damay ka. Tell me, do you still want to work for me? Do you still want to defend and get me out of here?"I asked him again. I saw Kyle on my peripheral view, umiwas siya ng tingin sa akin.
"I won't let myself set your foot on your own grave, Twixx. I can get you out of here, even all of the evidence are leading to you..."he said. "And if we're stepping in to our own grave right now, I still want to end my life fighting for what is right."
Silence.
"Just trust me on this, we can make it until the end."he added.
I trust him.
“How can we trust you if you didn’t even top the board exam...”tinignan ko ng masama si Kyle dahil sa sinabi niya kay Markus.
Kyle is my first Lawyer to this case but he passed the case to Markus because he's is finding another piece of evidence to prove the I am innocent. And this time he's with Lukas, the brother of Ericka. They believe in me, that I am innocent.
Hindi ko lang alam kung bakit si Eri na lang ang hindi naniniwala na inosente ako.

“Mr. Solano, Atty. Gonzales, I’m prosecutor Dy.”Aries pulled the chair and sat in front of me.

“How was did this case was assigned to you, Aries?”Kyle asked our friend. I clenched my fist. "This isn't right!"
Bakit ginagamit ng tatay ko ang mga kaibigan ko para pabagsakin ako? Bakit ang mga kaibigan ko pa ang ginagamit niya para hindi ako makalabas dito sa kulungan?

His threatening me with those eyes, parang sinasabi niya sa akin na hindi na ako makakagawa ng paraan para makalabas ako dito. Kilala ko si Aries, doon siya sa tama. Pero hindi ko alam kung ano ang ginawa o sinabi ni daddy sa kanya para siya ang maging prosecutor sa kaso na ito.
