"Congratulations to the class of 2013!" the principal shouted.

The music played and the caps flew up into the air.

We all filed out of our seats and went outside to look for family and friends.

I looked desperately for Timothée before anyone else.

I moved to New York from across the country halfway through my sophomore year. I had no friends, knew no one in the city, and just felt utterly alone.

On the first day of school a tall curly-haired boy introduced himself and showed me around the school and led me to my classes.

Needless to say, I fell in love right there.

Unfortunately they wouldn't let us bring our phones into the ceremony, so there was no way of me being able to reach him.

I walked up and down the sidewalk, tapping on any tall guy with curly hair like his.

As I walked back toward the entrance of the school, I bumped into someone.

"Y/n?" he said.

"Timothée!" I shouted and hugged him tightly.

"We did it." he smiled widely.

"I know." I smiled back.

He kissed me.

"Congrats grad."

"Congrats grad." I repeated and took his hand.

He held it as we walked around to find our parents and other friends to take pictures and say our final goodbyes.

Another journey for us closed, another one was soon to begin.
