I can't sleep without you

We fought tonight. About so many things that I couldn't even remember now.

All we did was yell, complain, compare, and accuse each other.

I don't even know what caused such a fight to begin with, maybe too many things boiled over all at once. I didn't want to spend the night alone in this room.

When I got fed up of fighting, I walked out of our room and came in here as she slammed the door closed.

I got up from the bed and made my way back to our room.

Y/n is usually a loud cryer. When I stood in front of the door, it was silent.

I opened the door all the way and walked in, closing it behind me. She was sleeping.

I sighed at the sight. Had I made her cry herself to sleep? A heavy weight came over me. The last thing I ever wanted to do in this world was to cause her that much pain.

I went over to the bed and laid down next to her. She moved around a bit as I wrapped my arms around her from behind.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"I can't sleep without you. I don't care if we're in the middle of a fight, I want you in my arms." I said.

"I'm sorry." she sniffled.

"You're not the one who should be sorry."

"No I should be," she said "you didn't deserve any of the things I said to you."

"But neither did you," I said "let's just leave this as is. I don't want to fight anymore. We can leave this all behind us."

She nodded and intertwined our fingers.

"I was going to go to your room too." she said.

"Really?"

"Yeah. You know I can't sleep without you either."

"I missed you." I said squeezing her a bit.

"We were only apart for an hour."

"An hour that felt like an eternity."

"Let's not fight anymore. Or at least not let it get to the point that it did tonight." she said.

"Agreed."

"Promise you'll always love me?" I asked.

She moved out of my arms and turned over to look at me.

"Always and forever." she said.
