"I'm tired!" I yelled.

Timothée was far ahead of me. He stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at me.

"Just a bit more, come on!" he waved his hands.

I took a deep and took whatever strength I had in me to walk over to him.

Two lessons I learned during this hike:

• Never go hiking on long trails in Los Angeles, or anywhere for that matter, if you're not experienced.

• DO NOTHING OUTSIDE in July (the hottest month of the year.)

Just avoid physical activity any chance you can get. {jk, stay healthy and fit.}

"You got this, a little more!" he encouraged.

My eyes shot up from the ground, giving him a killer look of irritation. What I would give to just go back home right now.

After having walked only a few feet, I gave up and sat on the ground. Not caring about my clothes getting ruined with dirt and sand.

I chugged the rest of my water until the very last drop, sitting uncomfortably as sweat drenched my body.

"Really?" Timmy asked coming over to me.

"Really what?" I looked up at him, squinting and covering my eyes from the sun.

"You couldn't make it a few more feet?"

"Obviously not," I rolled my eyes "that's why I'm sitting here, dying."

He crossed his arms and let out a frustrated sigh of breath.

"Get up."

"What?"

"I said get up."

I stood up and put hands on my hips. Trying to catch my breath, seriously; I'm so exhausted that just standing up drained me.

"I really wish I didn't have to do this." he said.

"Do wh-"

He scooped me up and threw me over his shoulders, holding onto the back of my legs so I wouldn't fall.

"Put me down!" I yelled.

"You said you were tired, weren't you?"

"Yes," I continued smacking his shoulder "but I can make it back down on my own."

"Just give it up." he said walking back down the path to the beginning.

There were other people around us, staring.

I slumped over his shoulder, dangling my arms and looking at the ground, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone else.

Trying to hide my embarrassment.

Even though I looked and felt like a child in this situation, I'm glad I don't have to walk all the way back.
