timothée's pov

I watched y/n sit at the table with Armie as I sipped my beer.

"Timmy," Armie waved his hand at me "come here."

I got up and walked over to them.

"What's up?" I asked.

"What do you think about setting y/n up with my friend Josh?"

"Josh?"

"You met him at the CMBYN premier."

"Josh..Josh," it took me a bit to remember "yes, of course I remember him."

Y/n looked at me.

"Well? What do you think?" she asked.

I took another sip. "He's a good guy. Do what makes you happy."

She scrunched her face as I turned around and walked away, heading into the bathroom.

I looked at myself in the mirror, then hit it in frustration. She's moving on already and I can't seem to do the same thing.

I dumped the rest of my beer down the sink and went back out. Y/n was putting on her jacket.

"Leaving already?" I asked.

"Yeah," she then put on her purse "I have work early tomorrow."

Armie hugged and kissed her goodbye.

"I'll let Josh know you're interested." he said.

She smiled. "Thank you."

I grabbed my coat and made my way back to them.

"I'm leaving too."

"You're abandoning me?" Armie joked.

"Looks like it." I laughed.

"I'll see you guys later." y/n said opening the door.

"Let me walk with you." I said.

"Hurry up then." she said walking outside.

I hugged Armie and said bye. Before I could turn around he grabbed me by the arm.

"Don't do it." he said.

I shook myself free and rolled my eyes. "I have to."

He sighed and shook his head.

I went outside to y/n and Armie closed the door.

"Where did you park?" I asked.

"Two blocks down."

I walked with her in silence. It seemed like the longest walk of my life. Finally, we made it to her car.

"Thanks for walking me." she said.

"It's no problem."

She opened her door and got in halfway, "What is it?"

"I have to tell you something."

"And what is it that you have to tell me?"

She got out of her car and closed the door.

"I'm still in love you with you."

"No, you're not."

"Yes, I am."

"Timothée, it's been five months. We're not together anymore. I'm ready to move on," she said "you should too."

"So you don't love me anymore?"

"Of course I love you. I'll always love you."

"Then why won't you be with me again?"

"Because," she took a deep breath "I do love you, so so much. But not like I used to. You're my best fri-"

"Don't." I shook my head.

"Please, let me finish."

"No, I don't want to hear the whole 'I love you as a friend and nothing more' speech."

"Then what do you want to hear?"

"That you still love me in the same way you did before and that you still want me the way that I want you so badly right now."

"You know I can't do that. It's time for you to let go, I'm sorry."

She got into her car and sped off.

Tears ran down my face as I watched her turn the corner and disappear behind the other houses.

I can't get over her now. I never will.
