"Emergency at set. I don't know how long I'll be there or when I'll be back. I'm sorry.

I love you - T."

Is what I wrote on the scrap piece of paper.

I put it on y/n's night stand, and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

I grabbed my back and ran out to my car.

I'm co-directing my first movie with other amazing and experienced directors I've worked with in the past.

This was an exciting time for me and a huge step in my career. The joyous feeling of waking up every morning to come to set disappeared today when I got a call to rush over without being given an explanation.

I know I had originally taken the day off today, but I couldn't remember why.

Production has been going on for almost six weeks, I've been working seven days a week with no time off since the first day.

Luckily, there was no traffic and I made it set in just 30 minutes. The second I pulled into the lot, there was present chaos.

People were running around everywhere, yelling at each other. Some crew members were fixing damaged lights and parts of our set.

One of my co-directors came running towards me the second I stepped out of my car.

"Thank God you're here." he said out of breath.

"What's happening?" I asked grabbing my bag and closing the door.

"Just come with me." he said.

We walked into our conference room. My other co-directors, management, and team were all sitting in there and talking to each other.

"Alright," I put my bag down "somebody tell me what hell is going on out there."

One of my managers spoke up. "I got here before anyone else did. I walked into the lot, everything was ruined. I called security and they told me they didn't know what happened last night or how this all came to be."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes, I guess someone came in and trashed it all last night. I don't know."

"What are we going to do?" someone asked.

"We're starting over." I said.

"You've got to be kidding me," someone else said "we're almost six weeks in already, how are we supposed to start again?"

"We'll find a way." I said grabbing my bag of folders and important files.

I sat with all of them around the table. It was 8:00 a.m right now.

We started discussing our new production plan as the rest of our crew continued cleaning up the disaster outside.

I constantly checked my phone to see if y/n had sent me a text or left me a voicemail I hadn't listened to yet. Nothing.

After hours of thinking, deliberation, and some arguing, we settled on a new and fresh plan to start on in a week.
