Last year I took a creative writing class that started at the beginning of lockdown. My only assignment was to write two pages a day and try to record my thoughts/feelings and what the world was going through at the time. All of this is completely unedited so if there are a lot of mistakes I apologize. I wanted to keep it as genuine to what I was thinking and trying to say at the time. I hope you enjoy this dive into the chaos that is my thought process.

A YEAR-LONG DAY (one-sided slowburn with a twist)
"Dear diary, To my surprise, today we talked a lot. It's been a while since we've chatted like that. He's been very cold to me lately, constantly ignoring me. But during the second lesson he suddenly said that he would recognize my handwriting among all others. Could it be that there are indeed some hidden feelings behind his rude behavior? Can my unrequited love grow into a mutual one? There's still time until our graduation... And, in the meantime, after school my boyfriend had a surprise waiting for me again. He is so romantic. Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014)
This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Although these are somewhat edited they are still rough drafts so please treat them as such.Complete
High School!
Some people would call this a journal. I wouldn't be one of those people. Sure, I write about my day, and my feelings and about friends and various events that happen... and I'm starting to see why people call this a journal. But it isn't! I'm the writer and I say so! "More" he demanded. "What's with the sudden interest?" Before he reacts I hastily added some joke to lighten the mood. "Knock, knock." He opens and then closed his mouth masking his surprise. "Who's there?" "Icy" I drawled. "ICY WHO?" He replied. "You see me, do you need glasses or something?" then his booming laughter echoed inside the library which again a loud shushed from the librarian and some nearby students hit us. "That was hilarious!" I just shrug my shoulders masking my face void of emotion. And then my heart beats again faster because of what he said next. "Oh babe, if you just see what I see." He looks straight at me and I immediately avert my eyes to my book which is in front of me. Oh diary, I think his eyes will be the death of me.
