Sorry it's so short I just wanted to get something out this week!

Ship(s): Vinira

Emira had strict rules to follow from a very young age.

1.) Straight hair.

2.) Straight A's, anything lower is disappointing.

3.) Have only female friends, the only boy she's allowed to hang around is her brother.

4.) Any sign of weakness is showing you aren't good enough. (crying, loneliness, etc)

5.) Any thoughts of sin will be punished harshly. (Y'all can already guess what Odalia means by sin)

Emira understood them but as she got older her close female friend Viney was making her feel some kind of way she didn't understand, she liked it but knew it would hurt her, if not by herself by her mothers hand. She cut off the friendship herself, weeks of mental agony, pain, crying, panic, sobbing, she tried to find peace in herself but she couldn't. Years later, she's sixteen and is just starting to get back with her, Viney was more than thrilled, Emira feeling the same joy but pain also came with it.

She's feeling the same way again after so long, Amity's with them now of course and her mother is pushing the same things she pushed on her. Amity however is taking to the deepest part of her, which Emira and Edric are trying to help along side their own coping things such as pranking and of course being a bit mean to their sister. Amity hates it but understand why they do it, they always apologize after, Amity understands, she knows she would probably do the same if she's been around her parents for a few more years.

Emira is still struggling with not knowing how to go with everything she's finding out things about herself, and Viney. She knows for a fact she can't act on it. Will that stop her? No. She knows she likes this girl and she knows this girl likes her back so she gathers up all her courage and she asks her out, getting a yes. Emira decides however to piss her mom off more by cutting her hair as short as Amity's and curling it, knowing her mother always loved her pretty straight hair, meh kinda boring anyway.
