Context; Jaiden and Alador's first year married, and Luz meets Jaiden for the first time. Amity is understandably nervous.
Ship(s): Lumity and I guess I'll think of a ship name foe Alador and Jaiden at some point?
Luz smiles, holding Amity's hand. "I can't wait to meet your dads!" Amity nods, "Well dad and step dad.." She still doesn't know how to feel about Jaiden, she likes him don't get her wrong but having a step parent is always weird at first, even in a bad situation like Amity it's weird not being yelled at for doing one small thing wrong and actually having a supportive second parent. She likes Jaiden but it's only been the first year, she's sure it'll get better and Jaiden is finally going to meet her girlfriend. "So what do I call him? Mr. Hocker? Jaiden? Did he take your dad's last name or kept his own?" Amity chuckles. "I call him Jaiden but maybe call him Mr. Hocker, they kept different last names." Luz nods, "Okay gottcha! So...is it weird going to see your dad again?" Amity nods. "It's weird seeing both of them..I love my dad don't get me wrong just it's so strange adjusting to it." Luz nods, "Yeah I can imagine, it weird calling Eda mom for a while and not just Eda."
Amity smiles. "I'm sure it was." They just wait the rest of the trip and meanwhile with Alador and Jaiden, Jaiden is freaking out. "I mean what do I do? What do I say? I'm meeting Luz for the first time and Amity probably still thinks I'm weird and should we cancel? What if Luz is too nervous to come around? You know Viney was so nervous she almost puked what if that happens to Luz?!" Alador puts his hands on Jaiden's shoulders. "Calm down, it's okay. I'm sure Luz is going to love you, I'm sure it'll be awkward but it's going to be okay." Jaiden sighs. "Whatever you say...just I guess I'm excited to meet her."
Luz and Amity soon arrive and Alador opens the door. "AMITY!" He hugs his daughter tight, Amity hugging back. "DAD!" He smiles and gets Luz in on the hug. "Come on Luz get in here." He smiles and Luz hugs him tight. "Missed you Mr. B." He smiles, ruffling her hair, "Missed you too...and here's Jaiden." Jaiden smiles, waving at the girls. "Hey...you must be Luz." Luz nods, walking up to him and shaking his hand. "I'm Luz, Luz Noceda and girlfriend to Amity Blight." Jaiden smiles. "Firm handshake on you, and I'm Jaiden Hocker, husband to Alador and Step father to Amity." Luz chuckles, Alador looks down at his daughter. "I can tell they're going to like each other." Amity nods, "So do I."
They do, it's a very nice evening with good food and stories from Hexside, to battling the Emperor or an embarrassing story of young life. Jaiden and Luz get a long very well and by the end of the night Amity and Luz are heading to bed. "Hey...Jaiden?" Amity asks. "Yeah?" He looks at her. "Thanks for making my dad happy." She hugs him, him hugging back. "..You're welcome Amity."
