Chloe had been off work for a week, due to coming down with some form of influenza, it wasn't good timing really, not when you were looking into something for her and her co-workers happened to be looking at the same time and took you as the perp.

You currently sat in a cell, with much luck it was all yours, dressed in orange which used to one of your favourite colours. You massaged your brow, letting out a deep breath as you marked the third day you'd been there.

You anticipated the moment someone realized you, an innocent citizen, helping a cop, had been locked up without investigation and now proceeded to be in harm's way, not that anyone had tried to mess with you as of the third-day mark.

"You suit jumpsuit orange you know that?" A familiar voice echoed through your stone cell.
"Dan? Hey! Long time no see." You quip.

"Look, we'll sort this misunderstanding out later, right now, we've got to go, Lucifers causing some trouble." The guard unlocks the door, letting you out.

"I'm guessing we don't have time for a quick change of clothes?" You huff slinking from the room and down the hallway.
"Yeah, that's not going to happen, not if you want the LAPD to stay in one piece." Dan catches up to you, signing you out before leading you out to the car.
"I'm sorry, what's going on?" Dan opens the car door for you.
"Well, lucifer found out that you were arrested for doing a job for Chloe and has now demanded your presence and until that point of time is trashing the place."

"Can't you arrest him for that?" You asked trying to hide your amusement.
"Yeah, or we could right our wrong, ignore his behaviour and let you two ride off into the sunset." Dan taps the steering wheel as you stop at a red light.
"Trixie's fairy tales are going to your head."

"Well, you find him... what was it you said, suave? Handsome?"
"Both at some point." You roll your eyes. "Sure, I've had a bit of a schoolgirl crush on him, so what?"
"So, his stone-cold, sorry excuse for a heart obviously feels the same, he admitted it." Dan pulls up a video before the light turned green.

You press play, watching as Lucifers tossed a desk across the room, eyes flashing red and back to brown.

"How dare you do this to her. She's mine. Lucifers girl! How dare you touch her. You will pay if she does not return to my side unharmed, I want my queen at once." Lucifer spots Dan with the camera. "You better bloody hope I don't break your neck, turn that off." He shouts, charging toward Lucifer.

"Woah." You gulp.

"Well if it wasn't clear in the way he stares at you like you're the most beautiful being in the world, that certainly gets the message across."

"Huh..." A smile crawls across your face. "I can't believe it."
"You shouldn't be so happy about that prick returning your feelings." Dan drones, turning onto the precinct road.
"And why is that?" Your smile dropped.
"Huh, turn me into a cliché much. You can do better." Dan rolls his eyes once again, as he recites the line from so many Romance films.
"What, you?" You answered jokingly knowing it was the nearly always the next line.

"Seriously....?" Dan questioned, you nod completely mindless, he continues. "If you don't see the way I look at you, you don't need to worry about it..."

He exited the car, not bothering to open the door for you as he heads back into the station that now looked like it had been hit by a tornado, within moments of entering, Lucifer was holding you close, you head pressed against his chest, your dream come true, yet it was bittersweet, you were almost melancholy.

"Did they hurt you, my love?"
"No, no one at the prison." You blink at a furious pace, staring into Lucifers eyes, the specification something he would come to question later on. And as the two of you left, all eyes on you, you finally picked up on the longing stare of your long term friend, Detective Dan Espinoza.

So... this is a bit different? What do we think?
