You sat on the beach, basking in the sunlight, your yellow swimsuit highlighted the tan you had gained that summer by spending most of your time on the burning sand. This was your favourite time of the year, mostly because Lucifer actually let loose a bit when you hung out on the private beach behind your friend's house.

Yes indeed, Lucifer wasn't always in a pristine suit, sometimes he wore board shorts.

That was thanks to you. After losing a bet, Lucifer has sworn to you he would come out to your friends one weekend. The devil keeps his promises, you could vouch for that. The promise was the easy part.

The part after that was trying to get him to stop drinking and admire the beach, to enjoy the views and breathe in the fresh air. Although he refused at first, you had noticed him looking over your body.

Much like him, you wore conservative clothes from day to day, this was new to him. You made a note of this.

"I kept my promise. I'm having my fun, you keep having yours." He had spoken to you.

The next day you dressed in warm clothes that covered your body completely, you passed Lucifer in the morning, slippers on your feet and went to lie on the beach. His curiosity got the better of him.

"What on earth are you doing darling?" He questioned as he came down onto the beach. He kneeled next to you when you didn't respond, furious that his suit was being dirted. He felt your skin, finding it be boiling to the touch.

He sighed, knowing that you had overheated. Lucifer peels off your clothes till you remained in your swimsuit which you had worn underneath. He faces the water, rolling his eyes.

"There's a special place in hell for people like you," Lucifer growls, he rids of his clothes down to his boxers. He carried you to the water, allowing your body to cool off until you started to come around.

Your eyes widened for a single moment as you realised what was going on.
"You're paying for my dry cleaning." He snarls, seconds after you wake up.
"You were having fun in clothes, I thought I'd try it out, see if I was missing out on anything.

After that, he refused to put his clothes back on due to the effect that it seemed to have on you, including burning red cheeks not caused by the sun. No one else was ever allowed to see this side of him.

It had been a year since you managed to get him out of his comfort zone. Every second weekend the two of you spent at the beach and sometimes it was as if he was never the devil at all. You sit on the sand as the sun goes down, eating cubes of watermelon.

"You know you only ever eat watermelon when you come here," Lucifer observes.
"You know I'm in love with you right?"

"Darling? Could you repeat that?" He questions.
"Oh I'm sorry, were we not stating things that were obvious?" You quip.
"Are you being serious darling?"
"Deadly." You turn to him, putting the piece of watermelon in her and back in the container. "I'm okay with being friends though." You were anything but okay with being friends.

Lucifer grabs the container of watermelon and throws it over his shoulder and kissed you, your arms naturally hanging over his bare shoulders.
"I love you too darling." He whispers as he pulls away.
"I don't eat watermelon at home for the fear that I will connect to anything but these moments with you." You cheesed.

"Don't make me gag." He tears biting into your neck.
