You jumped up and down in excitement, the day had come, you were finally standing at the gates.

"Oh, darling..." A beautiful British accent sung in your ears. "You are far too pretty to be dead already." A handsome man, towering over you in height stood by the gates, your mouth dropped as you realized whose darling eyes were staring at you.

"Lucifer.... Lucifer the third oldest son of the unfair and truly idiotic ruler upstairs." You stared at him, eyes as wide as saucers.

"That is me..." He smirks, folding his arms over his maroon suit shirt and black vest. "Are you a fan my dear?" He quirks an eyebrow.
"No, no... that would be despicable." You wink. "I just know you don't usually greet people at the gate."
"It's not something I intend on making a habit either... but I was warned of you... it isn't your time yet Y/N... you're going back."
"But I came all this way..."
"And you've met me, that's why you came isn't it... jumped off a building to meet me... you're not supposed to be here anyway... you've never done something worth punishing... expect.... Hurt yourself... but I'm sure sending you back is punishment enough." He waltz's over to you, placing a kiss on your knuckles.
"You're just so... beautiful..." You brush your fingers over his cheek.
"You weren't supposed to ever meet me, my darling... but now you have you can stop trying to get here... cause you shall never return..." He places a soft kiss against your flushed cheek, spinning you around before you found yourself at the top of the building you had jumped off.

You stared over the edge knowing you could easily do it again to see the devil you'd just met, the love of your life. You dropped to your knees letting out a short sigh knowing you'd never experience that thudding feeling in your chest again.

You'd only experienced it once, the one time your dad's friend was dying, you had gone to the hospital to see him with your dad and when you went to leave, a man appeared in the room next to him, a tall, brooding man by the name of Lucifer, he took the man's soul right in front of you and you'd been craving him ever since.

****

A few months later you were walking down the street, the skies pitch black above you, your head turned to the ground as you wish it would devour you and bring you back to the depths of hell. You stopped suddenly in your place, breath caught in your throat and heart beating a million miles an hour.

A course of energy burst through the city, reviving you, your cheeks flushed. You breathing became heavy as you glanced around.

Finally, your eyes landed on his figure, standing at the top of the street, in the middle of the road, like it's nothing like he's not about to be run over. Cars seemed to stop around him as he walked down the centre of the street.

Your legs moved before you could remember wanting them to, carrying you into the direct path of Lucifer, his gaze stuck to your body like glue. He stopped a few feet away from you, watching intently as you tilt your head quirking your eyebrow. He shrugs, hands stuck in his pockets.

"What can I say? You're one hell of a mortal." He smirks, winking at you, everyone around you watching.

You reach up to touch his cheek, a ring of light enveloping you just as you were about to touch him. Your body collapsed under the impact of something crashing into you, you flew through the air before landing back on the road.

You wheezed, the car that had hit you passing like it was nothing, your hand were covered in blood, your eyelids heavy. You managed to suck in one final breath before your soul left your body, watching from the sidelines as Lucifer tried to bring you back, his pristine calmness cracking completely.

"But I don't wanna go..." You mumble.

But it was too late.

You were gone.

Now you just had to wait for your final judgement.
