We All Have Demons

You convulsed on the bed, writing around like you'd been electrocuted, your skin burnt at the touch of the holy water and you hissed through your bloodied teeth as the word of lord spins around your head.

With the demon threatening to take over every part of your body, you did your best to escape your restraints before everything was over for you, using the little strength you had, you ripped your hands out of the rope, burning your wrists as you did so.

You grab the picture frame from next to your bed smashing it and using the shard to cut your feet out the ropes before the exorcist and his priest friend pin her back down. Your hand bleed on the sheets, blending in with the rest of the mess.

You race out of your house, jolting and twitching like something out of a horror movie as you made your way down the street, you moved through the crowd, people either ignoring you completely or going out their way to avoid you as you made your way into Lux.

The demon within you growls at the person trying to use the elevator with you, causing them to stare into your eyes, a mistake on their behalf as they saw the being within you, the sanity within them draining and giving strength to the demons control over you.

You take the elevator up to Lucifer's condo, falling to the floor as you start losing more and more of your body, the girl's Lucifer sat with scattered as you howled, your mouth speaking tongue without your permission.

Your reach your hand out to a confused Lucifer, pleading him with the small shred of humanity in your eyes to condemn the demon back to where it belonged, begging he'd be the ruler she needed him to be in the moment.

"Y/n?" Lucifer questioned as you crawled closer. "What the hell have you done to her?" Lucifer questioned but the demon only laughed. "Go back to hell you fowl excuse of a demon," Lucifer commanded, eyes turning red.

You forced yourself to stop moving closer to him as you feel the demon's power weaken, you didn't want to get to close in case you lost the ability to stop yourself from hurting Lucifer.

"I said, go back to hell!" Lucifer roared as his skin started to burn away, turning red and revealing his bulky muscles hidden by his human appearance. "This is your king! Go back to hell!" Lucifer's eyes burn as he peers into your eyes, not allowing himself to take notice of your desperation as he finished the job.

The demon releases it's hold on you, sucked from your body and back down into the deepest parts of hell. Lucifer turns back in the blink of an eye, catching you as you fall limp to the fall, struggling to breathe as your body remembers how to work again.

He brushes the hair from your face, concern laced in his eyes as he stares down at you, his thumb rubbing over your cheek as he checks to see if the wounds caused by the demon were fading and slowly, the more time you returned his stare, you came back to your normal self.

"Thank you." You whisper, mentally exhausted from your endeavours.
"It was selfish really darling, I was just scared I was going to lose you." Lucifer tried to crack a joke but ended up being more serious than he intended.
"Lucifer." His name is barely a whisper.
"Yes?" He leans closer to you, willing you to continue.
"What is it you desire the most?" You stare sleepily into his eyes.

"You." He blurts as his eyes scan all of your beautiful features. "I desire you to be mine."

"Good." You smirk, still strangely fragile. "I needed to hear that." You pull his lips to yours for the briefest of kisses before your eyes fall shut, your breaths stop, your pulse coming to a halt.

"Y/n?" Lucifer questions, panicking setting in as he comes out of his dream-like state, only now noticing the wound in your abdomen, not caused by the demon but by the mugger who previously held the demon, the one that stabbed you before you were possessed. The effects of it were only delayed.

You were gone and Lucifer was broken.
