Chapter 23: You Truly are my Sister

It had been a few days since I had seen Shikamaru. While I was on a Mission, he had become Chunin. I was so proud of him but I hadn't seen him yet. Aunt Tsuna had her Hokage inauguration, I was there for only a short time but then I had to leave for a mission. I also convinced my Aunt Tsuna to look in to Lee's case. I was not about to give up on him. So, Aunt Tsuna did her research and the chance of success went up by 8% to that made it 58% and then I also did my research and it raised it by 4%, so the surgery had a 62% chance of survival and success. Aunt Tsuna, Shizune and me, we performed the surgery. Well Aunt Tsuna did most of the work, but I did get to learn something new.

And as for my main team. Well, Sasuke and Naruto are at it again, they were fighting on the roof top of the hospital, one had Chidori, the other Rasengan, and Sakura wanted to stop them so she got in between them. If Kakashi and I hadn't gotten there in time. Sakura would have been killed.

I knew Kakashi had tried to talk with Sasuke but I knew it wasn't going to do anything, sure I knew what was to come and I had tried to mentally prepare myself for the day where Sasuke would fully emerge him delf in to darkness but, I just didn't know how soon that was going to be.

 

It was late at night, midnight to be exact, I was sitting on the ledge of the window in the living room in aunt Tsuna's new apartment, and my mind was everywhere. To top it off I had just received a letter from my grandmother saying that in a week me and my sister would have to go back some time, her reason was to reassure the nation that we were fine, alive, and well. Plus, her birthday was in three weeks. I didn't want to go, I needed to make sure Sasuke would be fine, reassure Sakura that we can fix it, help Naruto train and to try to get him and Sasuke to get along, and to sort out my feeling for a certain someone.

"Y/n?" I looked to my side and there was a very sleepy Tori. I slid off from the window sill ledge and sat on the couch where she joined me "It's midnight, why are you awake?" as she said that, she snuggled next to me and covered us with her blanket "I can't sleep. You know how I get" "Mmhmm yeah, don't think too much into it. Sasuke will be fine, Sakura is Sakura, and you can always reason with Naruto" I ran my fingers through her hair, "Is me thinking about that, that obvious??" Tori giggled a little "At least to me it is but that's cause I'm your sister. Now if I fall asleep carry me back to my room" I kissed her forehead "Always" and we stayed like that for some time and I looked down, she was fast asleep. I looked out of my window and then I felt my bracelet, my empathy link, 'Sasuke help him' it was Sakura's voice. I slowly got up from the couch and left Tori there, I hadn't changed in to my pajamas so I was dress appropriately and I ran out.

I decided to go to his apartment first. It was a three-minute run from Aunt Tsuna's place. And once I got there, I ran up the stairs, I had a key to his place, he gave me one for some odd reason, I busted the door open, his living room was empty, I ran to the kitchen, empty and then to his room. Empty.

I looked around for clues until I saw his dresser, there were two picture frames there, face down. I picked the first one up and it was our team picture. It hit me, he was going to do it. I dashed out of his apartment hoping to catch him in time.

I knew a short cut to the village gates and I took it.
