Chapter 91: The Sage of Six Paths

"Hey, what are you doing up here?" I looked at the window and Shikamaru came in. I was in our usual hiding spot in the palace, the secret room. "I'm reading" I never once looked up to meet his gaze until he was close behind, I could feel his breath on my neck. "Troublesome woman. You have parliament today and I don't feel like getting yelled at for your lack of responsibility. So either you get up or I'll have to drag you all the way down" I laughed. "Make me" and so he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. "SHIKA!!!" he put me down, he held my hand, "Your as light as a cloud, now come of your late as is already"

It felt like I was on one as I woke up.

I looked to my side and a shiny man was sitting in the air with a stoic expression. I jumped up and back. But instead I was now up in the air, higher up than him. And it was as if I was seeing two different things, he was speaking to Naruto and Sasuke. This man was the Sage of Six Paths. I tried to speak but nothing came out.

Until both boys were long gone.

In a blink of an eye, I was now in front of him. The man was considered to be a god. If he was then why am I here?

"Y/n, you have Yami's chakra in you", I was honestly confused as to who that was. Like I knew a little bit about Indra and Asura. Since my mom had taught me the history of the ninja world, she said it was best to go back as far as she could remember her aunt and grandma teaching her. "With all do respect Grandpa Sage, ummm who is this Yami? I can only remember what was said to Naruto and Sasuke. Wait, would that make Sakura Princess Kaliel?"

He smiled at me. "Not many knew about Yami Otsutsuki. She was my sister. Like you have said to both Indra and Asura's reincarnations. This is their story. Your final battles are yet to come Princess Y/n. Would you like to know who Yami, my beloved sister, was?"

I nodded, "Of course. I'd be honored" and I sat down.

He cleared his throat.

"Yami, or as we called her. Princess Yami of the Otsutsuki clan. She was an image of grace and beauty. She had a different father than ours. He belonged to another clan, as my mother ate from the chakra fruit, there was a drop of juice that fell from it into a gobblet and a man drank it. Clearly it wasn't much but the man was a strong warrior. As fate would have it. After my father was killed. Kaguya met this man, his name was Genkei Kono. He was adopted into the Yoshida clan, they were strong men and women who were great warriors. Many other clans and nations seeked them in times of war but they only wished for peace. My mother fell in love with him and soon later on Yami was born. But she was different from us. She seemed normal at first, no divine abilities"

I nodded, to make sure he knew I was following along. "You and your brother could be considered in a way full of god and she'd be a demigod in a way. But that's strange" and so he continued on.

"Until one day. Her father was killed in an assassination attempt ment for my mother. Yami was eight years old. I was 25 at the time. Just as Yami and Mother found his body. Something in Yami snapped, a flash of all doujutsu abilities, until her eyes became prismatic and her skin became milky white like ours. She became full Otsusuki. But her powers didn't match anyone in the clan's from what our Mother told us. Yami could heal better, she had more control, she was a master of illusions, genjutsu, better and stronger than the three of us. Yes you can feel excruciating pain, but not death. But her eyes were fully mature once she had them and she trained, she could kill with genjutsu, she was practically a master assassin if she wanted to. Any one who wanted to start a war or conflict, she'd stop. But when it came time to put a stop to my mother, she was 18 at the time when my brother and I sealed our Mother away. She was used as leverage. Our mother almost killed her and she wouldn't fight back out of fear and respect she had for her. I was able to pull her out in time. She didn't want to remember anything, all the pain and suffering our mother had put her through the past years of her life. Her feelings were so strong it unlocked and created something new in her dojutsu. She was able to create, replace, and restore memories. She replaced those years of pain with memories of her and I and our brother. To cover up the pain. Her mind forgot but her body, the scars told a different story"

I was in utter shock. How my abilities came to be, and so I assume over the generations it weakened since the genjutsu doesn't exactly kill them in an instant. It makes them do it or I just lead them into a trap.

"But you, Princess Yami's reincarnation, you have the potential of reaching god-like power when your time comes. The second part of this tale is one you'll find out on your own in time. You may have a family of your own when that comes to pass"

I stood up and I knew not to push for more information. "I will give you the one thing you will need for now. The jutsu most people expect you to have because you are his and mine descendant. Wood release, and Yami's assets as well, yin and yang but it will be limited to only use when desperately needed and as all, it has its limitations and it will require you to use your eye's full potential"

I bowed "Thank you, now please I must return"

"You will assist both Asura and Indra. But at the end of the day, their chapter and story closes. You begin a new one, ruling a nation, and your decisions in the future will stop a root of evil or a war with gods. When the time comes we will meet again" 

I opened my eyes and there I saw Sasuke. He was carrying me. Like the good brother he is. I looked to the side and apparently, we're in a desert? Sasuke dropped me. "Good, you're awake. What have you been eating, you feel heavier" I gasped, "You duckbutt!!! Don't ever drop me again!! I have not gained a pound since you last saw me, maybe you're just weak". Sasuke helped me up and I looked around, this dessert wasn't like anyone I had ever seen or been to.

"What the hell happened and how long was I out for?" I asked him. "Kaguya is back. She keeps calling you Yami and wants your eyes just like every other psychotic person out there. She said something about you almost maturing in a few years. She got us both here, were in some other dimension" and I took all that in and I knew how the fight must have been going. Then I realized that Shikamaru must have been turned into a cocoon-like thing on the tree.

I was gonna say something until a portal opened about a mile away and I saw an exhausted Sakura with Obito.

I smiled as Sasuke picked me up again but this time he threw me over his shoulder as if I was some potato sack. I lent him some of my strength. And in a blink of an eye. We were already on the other side.

Sasuke put me down just in time to catch Sakura as she tipped over. I held her on her other side and started to give her some of my chakra. "You did good Saku," I told her, "You're finally awake, please help us" "I always will and I'm happy too"
