Chapter 78: Mirai / Alive

It had been a month. We had two weeks till the war. My phase five was unlocked with Robin. It was definitely a strange experience but painful as well.

I have now returned to Konoha. Aunt Tsuna was the only one who knew what had happened. I had suffered immense brain trauma but with unlocking phase five plus the regeneration ability I possess I was able to heal myself completely. I still hadn't unlocked Phase six, but Robin would be with me when fighting his dad. I felt bad, I knew there was more to the story of Vox and Riker. My dad and him were best friends, people aren't born evil. I had mainly left since Robin left to go speak to Raven. He wanted to tell his sister the truth of what he knew, if he couldn't bring her to the light, no one could, maybe me but I failed with Sasuke and Sasuke still wants to kill me so I had no luck there.

I was walking aimlessly until I saw a familiar road. One where I had built a house for a certain Aunt. I teleported to the front door and I rang the doorbell. "Y/n!" and Auntie Kurenai pulled me into a bone-crushing hug. "Hi Auntie K" I said to her and we pulled back, there were tears in her eyes, "It's okay, I'm here. Let's go inside" and I took off my shoes and closed the door. I walked to the living room and there I saw who Auntie now had in her arms. I hadn't seen Mirai since she was five days old. Auntie handed her to me and she was wide awake and she smiled at me, "She recognizes her godmother" and I looked up, "Are you sure? I'd be honored but, aren't I too young?" I asked and she shook her head in protest. "Me and Asuma had talked about it. He wanted you to be the one to take care of her if anything were to happen to me now" I smiled and looked down at Mirai. "You are going to be so spoiled by me" I whispered and I looked at Auntie, "I know this is so out of the blue, but do you want to go out and I'll stay here and watch her for you?" I asked. "Are you sure? There are a few things I need to get done but I haven't had the time. I would have asked one of you kids but all of them are busy with the war. Don't you have to go to a meeting or to see Lady Tsunade?" I shook my head no, "Nope, I got today off since it's my first day back here before the war. So go out, we'll have dinner tomorrow and I can catch you up on what's been going on" I said to her.

A few minutes later, she was already gone and into the busy streets of the village. Mirai seemed to be getting a little fussy. "You must be hungry, let's go get you a bottle little miss Mirai" I said as I held her and went to the kitchen. I created a clone of myself, she made the bottle while I bounced around Miria in my arms, I knew she'd start crying since she just wanted to have the bottle.

"Here you go" and my clone diapered. I then gave her the bottle, I held it in my other hand, her little hands tried to hold the bottle but it was too big for her and she was months away from being able to hold it herself. Once she was done. I got the burping cloth and she spit up a little. I took off the cloth and put it in the hamper. I held her up in front of me "See all done now we ca-" and she spit up again and it fell onto my clothes.

I felt my face drop, which I think she found amusing since she started to laugh. "Not funny kid" and so I walked to the room I had in the house. I set her down on the baby crib I had in my room, yes I even put one in my room, for moments like this, you can never be too prepared. I remember that day when I had surprised Auntie with the house. It was about three days before she gave birth.

*Flash back*

"You see this house" I said to her as Silver had just finished the fence with Shikamaru. "Wow it's beautiful" she said as she held her huge belly. I smiled, "Well I built it for you and it's ready for you to move in, fully furnished, kitchen stocked, and closets full" I said and she looked at me, "I can't" she said and I hugged her. "I promised Uncle I'd keep you and the baby safe and well taken care of. I built this house, Ausuma's dream was to build you a house like this. I wanted to make it come true" I said and I pulled back. Tears of joy fell from her eyes. "I know you're not working right now and Asuma's inheritance was given to you but. I paid off the rent for the next ten years, so you could save when you start working again" I said to her. "Y/n this is too much I can never pay you back" I shook my head no. "You don't have to. Think of it as a gift from Uncle that I just happened to help out" I said and Shikamaru put his arm around me and Silver gave Auntie her keys.
