Chapter 4: The Nara's come over.

Y/n p.o.v

(Y/n + Shikamaru age 5)

"LADY Y/N GET BACK ERE NOW, THIS IS NOT LADYLIKE" yelled Mrs.Dalia as I ran through the castle halls, she was the head of the servants, and I had just escaped my torture, world history lessons. I already know who Konoha's Hokage is, its grandpa. Sunagakure, It dad's friend, Fourth Kazekage Rasa. I meet him last year. He has 3 kids Temari, Kankuro, and Gaara. Out of the three of them I like Gaara the most, he needs a friend, I wish I could see him more often, he's just like Naruto. I lost my train of thought when someone got me from the back of my dress. "Y/n what are you doing" I know that voice. "Sorry dad, but I already know Konoha's history. Mom and when Aunt Tsuna (Tsunade) comes they tell me stories and stuff, plus when I'm there, the old man gives me history scrolls to read. AND your friends with the fourth Kazekage, we went to Suna last year and you had me stay for 2 months to practice my wind style!!"

My dad just sighed, he let go of me, we both turned around to Mrs.Dalia, my dad sent her to do the rest of her work, then he turned to me "What would you like to learn than" I just gave him a blank stare "Umm I already know about the five grave nations, the surrounding lands and nations, smaller counties, ummmm and our history. I can read, write, speak Costa Lunas language, math is easy, science is fun. And I love to practice and learn new jutsu's." I thinked hard to remember what mom was before she married dad. Shika's in school for that. "ummm what's Shikamaru learning" I asked my dad "Well he's in the academy training to be a Ninja an-" "THAT, I want to ne a ninja dad". Just then my mom approached us and then she asked "Riker why dose your face look so shocked, Y/n how was class honey" "It was boring, I escaped and then daddy asked me what I wanted to do, I want to be like you. I want to be a Ninja, one of the best in history." I said and I was smiling. My mom's face changed and she looked like dad, "Umm okay, we will talk about this later. Um Y/n go to your room or play somewhere, me and Daddy have to talk".

It was 4pm and it's been about 2 hours since my parents sent me to play. I had ran around the garden, went to the study room and read, practice piano and Koto, and now in an hour its dinner. I was reading 'Dynasty of Women' the third book in the series that has 6 books, it was a book my great-grandma (Mito Uzumaki) read before, it was a story on how a woman rule over a nation and it goes through 6 generations, they are strong and fight in what they believe in. The third generations ruler was Rebecca, that's where my grandma got my mom's name. Then one of Rebecca's daughters was Y/n. I think this is where my mom got my name. I'm almost done, when I heard a knock on the door "Princess it's Lilac may I come in?", Miss Lilac was one of the only servants that I got along with, maybe it because she younger than the rest. "Yes, Miss Lilac" she came in and she was holding a casual dress in her hands and it was my size, oh no....... "Miss Lilac please nooooo" I wined, she just smiled and said "Be Happy it's not a super fancy one lady Y/n, tonight you have guests" I put my book down and got up, and went to sit on a chair in front of my mirror, as Miss lilac tied my hair back in to a simple pony tail, I asked her "Do you know who's coming?" she smiled at me and then said "You'll be very happy about this, from what I overheard, Konoha needed your mom to do some papers for the because of your mom's clan, Senju. So Shikaku Nara was sent and the Hokage also sent his Wife and Child with him and they will be staying for 4 nights 3 days. So you my dear get to play with Shikamaru all you want"

I made that girly girl noise that Sakura makes when she sees Sasuke. Wait I don't like Shikamaru like that. I think were just really good friends, like super good.

*Mini time skip*

"Shhh" I said to Shikamaru, we walking around the halls of the fourth-floor witch was the tippy top of all floors. Shikamaru had gotten to my place about an hour ago, and I wanted to escape my very boring 'how to be ladylike' class that's before dinner.

"Where are you dragging me to" he said in his usual bored tone, "I want to escape my stupid lessons, and we got an hour till dinner so why not have fun?" he just sighed "How troublesome". We made it to the small library/Study room. And we could easily hide if someone came to look for me. "Why is that there?" Shikamaru asked and pointed to the statue of my great-grandfather. "I don't know, but it's always been there" It was on a large stone base that you could sit around, and it had carvings all around then on top was a life-size statue of my great grandfather. I got close to it and, noticed that behind the right shoe there was like a button, I pushed it and the nearest bookshelf that was against the wall opened like a door. "Let's go" I said and pulled Shikamaru with me, there were a bunch of stairs "what a drag, we have to go upstairs".

We went up all 80 steps, then there was a door. We opened it and it looked like a small studio apartment, but the furniture looked like the one's in fairy tale books. There was a desk and a chair for it, 2 big book shelves, a small window that let enough light in, a couch for 4, a large tapestry of a women and a queen size bed.

I went up to the book shelf and at the very bottom self, it has half filled. The books on there were strange, on the spines of the books there were just names, I was about to reach one when "Hey Y/n there's a doorway behind the Tapestry" said Shikamaru. We both moved the tapestry like a curtain. There were about 20 more stairs and they lead to a door.

We went up and opened the door. It led to a private balcony, that was big, you could comfortably lay down. There was a slight breeze and the clouds looked like they were dancing. I can just imagine how the stars would look like at night.

"Y/n we should go back. let's come up here tomorrow to watch clouds" Shikamaru said.

*mini time skip*

Dinner was nice, we had a full corse meal, and now it was time for desert.

The whole time Dad and Shikaku talked about boring stuff while our moms were just catching up. Me and Shika can't wait for dinner to end and play Shogi our score is 18-16, so far I'm winning.

Then for some reason the adults stopped talking. Then my dad spoke up "Y/n remember on how you said you wanted to be a ninja?" I nodded "I have good news for you, me and your mom talked it out and I also asked Shikaku for his opinion. You can be a ninja"

My smile was probably as big as my face, I got up and went to hug my dad then my mom "Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!"

"But" said my mom. I rolled my eyes "there's always a but". "It's not such a bad one. You technically already are in the academy here in Costa Luna, but we teach you the basics since your royalty. You would have to go live in Konoha to actually become a real ninja. If you do decide to go you will be in Konoha for 3 weeks out of the month and one here since you still have your other classes and you still are a princes. As for living arrangements, we still have to work that out. So do you want to do it, you don't have-" I stoped my mom mid sentence. "YES, I'll do it".

Yoshino then looked at Shikaku and he nodded. "Rebecca I know you have the senju house for her but you want some one to be with her. If Y/n would like she could live with us."

I looked at my parents, begging for their approval of the idea, they both nodded. I looked at Yoshino "Yes, I would love that" she smiled and then said "finally another girl in the house"

"How troublesome, two women" said Shikamaru. "Hey be happy I'm nice and not so girly like Ino"

"It's settled then. When the Nara's leave you will go with them" my dad said "Oh and we have other news" my mom said very cheerfully "We're expecting" Shikaku then said "congratulations" Yoshino got up to hug my mom, I looked at Shikamaru and he looked just as confused as me. He spoke up first "Expecting what?" The adults laughed at us "Not
Funny" I said and I felt the vain in my head start to pop. "Sorry honey" mom said smiling "By expecting I mean, I'm pregnant, your going to be a big sister in 7 months". I probably had the biggest smile in the world.
