Chapter 54: We're getting better/Oh wait she's with him? Or is he with her?

It's been about almost a month since my 'intervention' is what we're going to call it. Of course, my team was filled in with what happened, Kakashi refuses for me to let it all out on becoming a workaholic like he did in his teen years. Sakura has been spending time with me the most, she has also been training with me and I have been helping her improve her skills as well. Naruto has tried to stop by as much as he can but I rather have him train and improve his skills rather than have him worry about me. Sai comes to practice his people skills if that makes any sense. While Shikamaru, he has been working non-stop. Mission after mission, we only spoke once since I've been back. It was only a "Hi Y/n, welcome back". That was it, I don't care, he can go back to hanging out with Temari. She was in the village for a few days. How do I know? Well, I've been staying with Auntie Kurenai. Uncle Asuma came by and was mad that Shikamaru was spending a lot of time with her, including joint missions. I could care less. But he was so dramatic and practically saying he should be with me. And my only response to that was. "Do you want your favorite student to die?". Both of them tried to convince me that I can't kill Shikamaru by being around him plus by being his friend, yeah good luck with changing my mind.

Speaking of my mind. I have good and bad days, some days it's just so hard to even roll out of bed and get on with life. Others I need to be doing something or else I feel useless and that I am out of place. So Aunt Tsuna's solution was to have me live with Kurenai since she is pregnant. Morning sickness, yeah no, it's more like an all-day thing. This baby somewhat gives me hope and it's going to be funny seeing Uncle Asu change a diaper, he was too scared to try with me.

Also during all this, I have acquired the 100th seal, so now I have a f/c diamond in the center of my forehead, so this will eventually be useful in a fight

I was sitting at the window, "Hey Y/n, can you go out and get me some pickles and ice cream?" Auntie asked me, I got up and opened the window to let in some fresh air, "Sure, I'll also get some flowers for the table, anything else?" I asked as I got my jacket, "No that's it for now, go get some money from my purse" I went to the door, "Nah, I got it, Gran gives me way too much every month" and I left before she could protest.

I ran down the steps of her apartment building. I wasn't too on edge here, press and news people, aren't such a big thing here in the leaf. I strolled down the streets, "Hello Princess" said Ayame as I passed y Ichiraku "Hey Ayame", and I kept on walking and I noticed something next to me, I looked down and stopped walking. "AKAMARU!" I said and he jumped on me, knocking me down to the ground, I hugged the 'puppy', "Thanks boy, I needed this" I whispered to him in his ear. "You should come with me to walk him you want" Akamaru got up and Kiba helped me up. "Sure why not, I can get in some training. Hey Werewolf" Kiba smiled herring his old nickname, "Alright then Rose" I laughed, I haven't heard that since Gramps died.

"Where you going?" he asked as he walked with me, so Kurenai and Asuma, they haven't told anyone else, they want to wait till week 13, it's wee 10. So we're close. "Umm I need to get a few things for dinner, I'm making Kurenai some food, probably curry" I told him and Akamaru barked, "Yeah boy, save us some, you always make the best curry", I nodded. He looked around for a moment. "Wait. No Shikamaru! You guys are always together" I rolled my eyes, "Did you two have a fight or something?" he asked but he sounded concerned, "No, we didn't, and why such a shocker. He has his own shit to do and own people to hang out with. Plus he is working a lot so." We turned around the corner, and Kiba laughed a little, "Enlighten me in what's so funny dog breath?" I said now slightly irritated, He pointed forward. Shikamaru and Temari at the market. "He said he was working this week, that's what he told Asuma!" I felt something in me snap but I took a deep breath. I looked at Kiba "Your jealous aren't you?" I smacked his arm. "No! That is absolutely ridiculous! Why would I be, what the hell crawled up your ass to make you say that!" okay maybe I am since the last part was harsh. "Fine" I mumbled "Louder?" Kiba said, "FINE" I yelled. And he smirked. "You happy now!".
