=Highly Favored=

*Luke 1:28-30
"28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.
30 But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God."

Misconceptions about FAVOR:
1. Fortune.
-(The rich and famous) ;
-(The fit and health) ;
-(The influential and powerful)

2. Favorable Situation.
3. Favor is not what we expect.

Favor Defined:
1. FAVOR is unmerited grace.
Luke 1:28,30
"28 The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
30 But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God."

*Ephesians 2:8-9
"8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--
9 not by works, so that no one can boast."

Favored is carried with responsibility.

*James 1:12
"12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."

*Genesis 6:8
"8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD."
