Sunday Service: Uncertainty

=Uncertainty=

"Many things remain incertain because they are out of control."

Uncertainty
-a state of doubt about the future ot about what is the right thing to do.

"Kaya tayo nagwoworry dahil we seek security."

How to Deal with Uncertainty?
*Genesis 28:13-15
"13 There above it stood the LORD, and he said: "I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying.
14 Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.
15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

In times of UNCERTAINTY...
1. We have the Hope of God's Promises.
*Genesis 28:13
"13 There above it stood the LORD, and he said: "I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying.

"Find Hope to God's unchanging promises."

*Psalms 121:5-8
"5 The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

*Romans 8:28
"28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

2. We have the Hope of God's Presence
*Genesis 28:15
"15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

I am with you: Security, Rest, Strength, Comfort, Guidance, Real Peace

"Real Peace is not Calm. Real Peace is the Presence of God in Storm."

*Psalm 23:4
"4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

3. We have Hope of God's Protection.
*Genesis 28:15
"15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

What God's Protection Means?

"NO MATTER what happens to US, GOD will give us the strength to endure and survive."

"Overcome or give up?"

*Romans 8:31,35,37
"31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

4. We have the Hope for God's Provisions
*Genesis 28:20-22
"20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear
21 so that I return safely to my father's house, then the LORD will be my God
22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God's house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth."

*Matthew 6:25,33
"25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

*Psalm 146:5
"5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God"
