"What is one thing that you want to receive as an inheritance?"
"How do you want to be remembered?"
*1 Peter 1:4
"4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you,"=A Legacy=
1. Are you a loving person?
A little trivia: the word "love" is mentioned:
1.1. King James Version (310 times)
1.2. New American Standard Version (384 times)
1.3. New International Version (551 times)
1.4. New Revised Standard Version (538 times)*Love the Lord your God (Deuteronomy 6:5)
"5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."*Love the Lord as yourself (Leviticus 19:18 ; Matthew 22:39)
"18 " 'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.""39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
*Love your enemies (Luke 6:27 ; Matthew 5:44)
"27 "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,""44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,"
2. Do you want to excel in service?
Are you enthusiastic in sharing His love?
*Philippians 1:14
"14 Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly."3. Are you grateful to the Lord? Are you generous in giving?
*2 Corinthians 9:11
"11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."4. When needed are you available?
*Peter sharing to the household of Cornelius (Acts 10)*A friend comes at night (Luke 11:5-8)
"5 Then he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
6 because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.'
7 "Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.'
8 I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs."In our availability, prayers are being answered. We become channels of God's blessings."
5. Do you face challenges with courage?
*2 Timothy 4:7
"7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."*Acts 4:13
"13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus."6. Are you true to yourself? Do you walk the talk?
*James 1:23-24
"23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror
24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.""A LEGACY in the Christian perspective means PASSING THE LOVE OF JESUS to all those that follow."
"It is about STEWARDSHIP of all that God has given you."
"Only one life 'twill soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last."
