=The Value of One=

*Luke 15:1-7
"1 Now the tax collectors and "sinners" were all gathering around to hear him.
2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."

"Anybody who wants to draw near to Him and listen to Him is welcome."

*John 6:37
"37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away."

3 Then Jesus told them this parable:
4 "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?

Reasons why sheep wanders off:
1. They are scared of something they sensed.
2. They are followers.
3. Sheep is a social creature who needs their flock.
4. Sheep needs and follows strong leaders.
5. A sheep's vision is weird.
6. Sheep literally can't walk straight.

"Sheep without a shepherd are lost."

*Matthew 9:36
"36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

"People need the Lord."

4 "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?

*John 10:11
"11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

How good is our Shepherd?
G-ave His Life as a Gift.
O-beyed the Father's will.
O-ffered his life as a ransom.
D-ied to give us life.

5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders;

"Where are you when God FOUND you?"

When the Shepherd found the Sheep, it is now SAFE:
S-ecured
A-ffection
F-orever Guided
E-xceeding Joy

6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.'
7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."

"Are you lost today?"

"Come and draw near to God and He will receive you."

"Were you found by God?"
"Rejoice and do the works of the Shepherd."
