=The Living Dead=

*Revelation 3:1-6
"1 "To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

Sardis
+One of the best defended cities in the region and the wealthy capital of the ancient kingdom of Lydia (now Turkey).

•Jesus character here shows that He is the Master of every spiritual power and authority.

The Sevenfold Spirit of God (Isaiah 11:1-3)
1. Spirit of the Lord.
2. Spirit of Wisdom.
3. Spirit of Understanding.
4. Spirit of Counsel.
5. Spirit of Strength.
6. Fear of the Lord.

Seven
-is the number of completeness in the Bible.

Indications of a Dead Person:
1. No life.
2. No sense of feelings.
3. No movement or activities.
4. No pressure.
5. Nothing to fight for.

*Matthew 23:27-28
"27 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean.
28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

How to Remain Alive in Your Faith:
1. Be on your guard always.
*Revelation 3:2
"2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God."

*1 Peter 5:8
"8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

2. Keep on fighting for the Lord.
*Revelation 3:2
"2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God."

Faith. Hope. Love.

3. Do not be complacent.
*Revelation 3:2
"2 Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God."

4. Go back to the foundation of your faith.
*Revelations 3:3
3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

+The Gospel.

5. Repent and return to God.
*Revelations 3:3
3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

"Jesus gives rewards to the overcomers."

4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy.

1. An intimate walk with Jesus.

5 He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

2. Jesus will clothe us with His righteousness
3. He will give us an assurance of our heavenly citizenship.
4. He will not disown us.

6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
