Sunday Service: Attitude of Gratitude

"18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

=Attitude of Gratitude=

*1 Corinthians 15:57
"57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

*Spirit of Gratitude brings true victory and triumph

Pillars of Gratitude (How to have a Grateful Heart?)
1. Controlled by the Spirit of God.

*Ephesians 5:18-21
"18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ."

"Thanksgiving ushers to have communion with the Trinity. Thanksgiving is empowered by God and focused on God."

2. Committed to the Word of God.

*Colossians 3:15-17
"15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

3. Characterized by the Peace of God.

"To develop this overflowing spirit of gratitude we need to be constant, reviewing what God has done for us in our lives."

4. Constantly in Prayer to God.

"6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

5. Concerned to the Will of God.

*2 Corinthians 11:23-27
"23 Are they servants of Christ? (I am out of my mind to talk like this.) I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again.
