_________________________________________Legend says that there is an intangible string of fate that binds two souls destined to be together. Those connected are bound no matter of time, place or circumstance. Here's everything you should know about the invisible thread between two people who are meant to be together. While journaling this, we went to question a soulmate expert for some clarification.
"Nothing can break the invisible thread between two people who are meant to be together by fate," claimed A.J. Martin, a well-known soulmate expert while we asked of him about his research.
Usually, those with soulmates would have a red thread around their pinky linked to their soulmate's pinky. There are some cases of those without soulmates where they don't have any thread at all.
And then there's the Gold Thread case.
Take note that just because they're soulmate's thread doesn't mean they will stay with you until the very end. Gold Thread case is very rare. Much rarer than the cases without soulmates. The last pair to ever be found with a golden thread was a few decades ago between Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald.

"So that's what we will be doing today!" Professor Slughorn clapped his hands excitedly. Murmurs of excitement and curiosity echoed throughout the class before he silenced them all with a laugh. "Soulmate Potion! Now, you will be assigned with your partner that I had already chosen for you."
Groans of despair surrounded everyone as the Potion's professor called out the pair one by one.
"Miss Granger with Miss Parkinson!"
Hermione shrugged when Ron's face turned sour as she moved towards the Slytherin girl with a small smile.
"Mr Malfoy with Mr Potter!"
Harry whipped his head up towards the professor in disbelief as if he couldn't believe that he had done that to him before he looked at Malfoy who seemingly refused to move from his seat, grey eyes hard. He held back the need to let out a long-suffering sigh as he packed his stuff and moved towards Malfoy's workplace.
"Go get the ingredients, Potter," Malfoy instructed absentmindedly as he skimmed through the textbook. Harry bristled and was about to retort when Malfoy stopped him. "Do you want to do the Soulmate Potion instead and fail us both a Troll because you're useless in Potions? But I'm sure that blind oaf would somehow mark you as Excellent because of his blatant favouritism. Why? Because you're the Golden Boy after all. Saviour of the Wizarding World and all."
"You know nothing about me, Malfoy," he growled. "Don't assume stuff you don't know of."
"I know enough though," Malfoy stared at him blankly before smirking. "You think I'm assuming? The Prophet did call you their Golden Boy, their Saviour of the Wizarding World, didn't they? The professor did show signs of blatant towards you, didn't he? That's what you called assuming?"
Harry's blood boiled with anger and he turned around quickly to avoid causing a scene by punching Malfoy in the face. He collected all the ingredients as told and dumped them all in front of Malfoy. "Here, Your Highness. Anything missing that I should be getting?"
Grey eyes skimmed over the things before shaking his head. "None," he answered briefly. Surprisingly, they started working without any more insults from Malfoy.

"For those who had finished the potion, you can put some of them in the bottle and corked before sending it to me for grading," Professor Slughorn said as he walked around to each table to check on the students' potions. "And then you can drink it if you want to."
