slight smut, hurt comfort, fluff
________________________________________Draco was walking towards the Black Lake in the middle of the night, way passed curfew when he heard a melodic voice singing a song he never heard of before. Most probably a muggle song, he thought in his head as he stepped closer to look at the anonymous singer.
"Beauty queen of only eighteen he
Had some trouble with himself
She was always there to help him, he
Always belonged to someone else," the male sang."I drove for miles and miles and wound up
At your door
I've had you so many times but somehow I want more."Potter, Draco inhaled sharply when the view cleared in front of him. The infamous Saviour of the Wizarding World was sitting on a familiar rock, the place where Draco was originally heading to every single night, strumming a guitar while singing.
I didn't know he could sing?
"I don't mind spendin' everyday
Out on your corner in the pourin' rain
Look for the boy with the broken smile
Ask him if he wants to stay awhile
And he will be loved, and he will be loved,"With each sentence, Draco stepped closer and closer towards the brunette that was bathing under the moonlight of a full moon.
"Tap on my window, knock on my door, I
Want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure
It doesn't matter anymore,""It's not always rainbows and butterflies
It's compromise that moves us along yeah
My heart is full, and my door's always open
You can come anytime you want yeah,"The blond male stared straight into Harry's eyes when the latter realised that he was not alone anymore, continuing to sing without stopping short or losing the tempo.
"I don't mind spendin' everyday
Out on your corner in the pourin' rain
Look for the boy with the broken smile
Ask him if he wants to stay awhile
And he will be loved, and he will be loved
And he will be loved, and he will be loved,"It felt silly to him when he thought about it but Draco felt like Harry was serenading this song to him, as shocking as it was. Why me, Potter? You could serenade this to anyone. So, why are you singing this for me?
"I know where you hide alone in your car
Know all of the things that make you who you are
I know that goodbye means nothing at all
Comes back and makes me catch him every time he
Falls,"Harry's eyes briefly fall on Draco's lips before he sang softly, "Yeah, tap on my window, knock on my door, I
Want to make you feel beautiful.""I don't mind spendin' everyday
Out on your corner in the pourin' rain oh
Look for the boy with the broken smile
Ask him if he wants to stay awhile
And he will be loved, and he will be loved
And he will be loved, and he will be loved,"The Gryffindor's fingers stopped strumming, pushing the guitar off of him slowly, gently before scooting closer towards Draco, holding both of his hands in his own, firm.
"Please don't try so hard to say good-bye
Please don't try so hard to say good-bye."And the song came to a stop.
Draco's mind was alarmingly silent, as silent as the place around them. A pair of green orbs clashed with grey orbs intensely. The silence was deafening but it was the comforting kind. It wasn't until a few more minutes passed until Draco broke the silence.
"I feel like that song is for me."
Harry's smile widened slightly. "It is because it is for you. I changed a few lyrics so that the pronoun is for a male but yeah," he said sheepishly. "I noticed you always sit here alone in the middle of the night. I just thought that you're lonely and the song came into mind. That's why I'm here, singing the song to you," Harry added. "For you."
Draco couldn't contain the tears that dwelled in his eyes before it streamed down his face slowly. Harry looked panicked for a moment before calming down when Draco reassured him that that was happy tears while dabbing it away.
"Thank you, Potter. It was very thoughtful of you," Draco said. "Though I feel like you're not telling me the whole truth."
Harry's cheeks flamed bright red. "W-Well," he stuttered at first. "I– uh, I wanted to approach you to be honest. At the beginning of our Eighth Year. I was hesitant though cause I'm not sure how much my presence is welcomed because you never looked at me or talked to me so it was a little hard to figure it out."
"But then a few days ago when we accidentally bumped into each other and you smiled. I decided that I want to get close to you. I wanted to talk but it just turned into full-blown stalking while you're here," Harry said while looking at his lap with awkwardness.
"You looked beautiful when you smile," Harry blurted, turning into a brighter shade of red.
And Draco's heart melted.
"You're adorable," he giggled softly, gathering the courage of a Gryffindor to flirt back. "Thank you for the compliments. I think you're handsome, Harry."
Harry looked dazed for a moment before he smiled at Draco like a love-struck person. "You're so beautiful it's not fair. You're too pretty to exist," he breathed before groaning. "Merlin I need to shut my mouth before I say something even more embarrassing to you."
Draco laughed before moving from his spot to sit on Harry's lap, batting his eyes prettily, arms wrapped around Harry's neck. "Oh no, don't stop, love. I quite like this actually. Praise me more."
"Should've known you have a praise kink," Harry muttered before pulling Draco into a gentle kiss, rough hands roaming around his slender body.
"I want to know if you'd think I looked beautiful underneath you too, Harry. It's crucial," Draco teased cheekily.
Harry gripped his waist possessively, sniffing Draco's neck like a dog, dragging his lips downwards towards the shoulder and planted a soft kiss right there. "You'll look like a vixen if so. Merlin, I just can't get enough of you, Draco."
"Mine," he growled and bit Draco's neck hard with his sudden sharp teeth, making the latter howled loudly, arching his back towards Harry's body.
"Animagus," Draco gasped. "Werewolf?"
"Dog," Harry corrected.
"My instinct is telling me to claim you. I'm sorry if it hurts."
"Claim me, Harry. Don't stop."
