"Okay. Spill. Why are you behaving like an arsehole to my boyfriend?!" Draco threw his hands up with complete frustration the moment Whatever-His-Name-Was left. "All of you! I can't believe you'd do that!" Everyone could see how upset the blond was but they all glanced towards an even more upset Harry. They were just defending Harry because Draco's 'boyfriend' was trying to insert dominance against Harry by trying to belittle him and his position as Draco's best friend, goading Harry to make him jealous. Talk about toxic masculinity.

But apparently, Draco couldn't see that.

"And you!" Draco huffed, turning towards Harry with a frown. "I thought you'd be more accepting! Not trying to bully him by making him look like an idiot and inferior to you! You're supposed to be my best friend! What is wrong with you?! Not even once did you say his name right and I know you know his name, Harry."

"Let's face it. Everyone is inferior to you anyway because you're Harry fucking Potter!" he finally exploded.

Betrayal sliced through his heart like a sharp knife. Draco very well knew how much Harry hated being famous, hated how much power his name brought. And yet, when they argue, Draco always attacked him with that. His tongue felt bitter out of a sudden. "That's not fair–"

"Well, what you did earlier wasn't fair either!"

"Draco–"

"That was such bullshit, Harry."

The black-haired male could feel the fight slowly dying inside of him, leaving him cold and empty but he still fight to make his point known. "He was awful!"

"You didn't even give him a chance, Harry!" Draco groaned in annoyance.

At this point, their friends could just watch the fight escalate from there. They didn't bother to interfere, knowing that it will all go for nought. Usually, when those two started fighting, the rest of them just listened to them spilling what they felt and nudging them just a little bit so that they could make up.

But they could see Harry giving up the fight and they felt sad for him because Draco just couldn't see it. The light in Harry's emerald green eyes faded. Harry opened his mouth to say something but thought better of it before nodding to his friends, simultaneously ignoring Draco, and he just left the house.

The thing about Harry was that when arguments occur, Harry never backs down. Ever. So, they could understand Draco's shocked expression when Harry walked out on him without a sound.

"Honestly, Draco," Pansy shook her head. "I love you but you are an idiot. Literally. I swear you are." Blaise and Theo nodded in agreement. Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Luna just stared worriedly at the door, contemplating whether it was safe or not to follow after the upset male. "Your so-called boyfriend was goading him, Dray. You know how Harry responded to being goad more than anyone else, seeing as you goad him throughout 5 years in Hogwarts. And you should know how petty he could be. We were treating your boyfriend like arseholes because he was treating Potter like an arsehole."

"That was low of you, Malfoy," Ginny scowled with disdain. "To use Harry's fame against him. You know how much he hated it. And yet, you betrayed him by bringing that up. I understand that you're angry but using someone's insecurities and issues against them to make an argument is just... stooping too low. You're no better than your 'boyfriend' then," she mocked with a sneer. "Both of you are just gits."

Draco stood there in silence even when his friends left one by one.

What have I done?

It's been a week since the incident and Harry didn't return to their house, adamant to avoid the blond. He had taken the liberty to live with Ron and Hermione, crashing on the sofa tiredly. He even so far as to take an undetermined leave because he didn't want to bump into Unspeakable Malfoy at work.

Harry couldn't find the courage to face Draco, not wanting to hear the familiar anger and disappointment in his voice. It was better this way: avoiding.

But luck probably ran out on his side a few days after when he found himself standing in front of Draco. He froze in surprise before nodding. "Morning," he murmured before walking past him, eyes moving everywhere but at the male. Draco caught his wrist and pulled him back, not giving him time to escape. "Harry."

"Where have you been? Why haven't you come back to the house? Why are you avoiding me?"

"At Ron and Hermione's. No reason. Am not," Harry replied shortly to the questions.

"Are you still mad at me? Talk to me, Harry. Please. Why won't you talk to me?" Draco asked, grey eyes taking in his expression, searching for any signs of Harry being angry still. "I have to send this paper to Hermione as soon as possible. Excuse me," Harry said demurely and rushed away from the blond male whom he made amends with after his trial.

Call him a coward but Harry was terrified of Draco.

Terrified of the things that would come out from both of their mouths.

It was better this way: avoiding.

"Harry," Draco called for him, running towards the Auror, not wanting to let go of the matter. He had grown so accustomed to having Harry in the house that he felt... unsettled by the silence Harry left behind when he walked out on him. Without Harry, Draco felt some parts of him were incomplete. Something wasn't right. His heart ached while remembering the hurtful betrayed look Harry had thrown at him the other day.

He was lucky to have caught the black-haired male after working hours before he could even leave.

He clasped his hand around the other's wrist. "Please," he begged. His father taught him that Malfoys don't beg but Draco couldn't care less about it if it meant that Harry would talk to him again. "It's not proper," Harry said blankly. "You have a boyfriend."

"Please talk to me, Harry," Draco pulled the said male to face him, desperate to get his attention. Desperate to get Harry to look at him in the eye and smile like he used to. "I'm sorry for everything that I said to you. It was wrong of me. I was angry and I wasn't thinking. I was being selfish. I promise I won't ever do that again to you. Please. Come home."

Home.

It struck him like a lightning. An epiphany.

Harry was his home. Always had been that way.

No matter how many people Draco dated, by the end of the day, he would always return to Harry. Harry would always be his number one priority because home was where Harry would be.

"Silly Draco," Harry whispered heartbreakingly, reaching up to cup his face with the warm palm of his hands. "Why are you crying?" The question only made Draco sob harder, burying his face into Harry's hair while hugging him tightly. "Come home, Harry. Come home. I broke up with Matthias. So, please. Come back."

"I will come home. Just because we fought doesn't mean I'm not coming back. Silly Draco," Harry repeated. "I'm only away for some time to clear up my mind. Where else would I go if not to my home, where you are?"
