It's not a secret that Harry Potter loved to go out into the forest nearby from where they lived in the village of Godric's Hallow. Every single day, after school, he would head deep into the forest, venturing out the area with fascination. Because of his mini-adventure, he was often in trouble and he even almost died. It made Sirius Black, his beloved godfather and Remus Lupin, his godfather's lover, worried constantly.

It was always the three of them in the small house. James Potter and Lily Evans-Potter died a few months after his birth because of wolves attack. Ever since then, Sirius was reluctant to let Harry out of his sight despite him reassuring the elder that he was fine. Although James and Sirius came from a very wealthy family, having lots of money to lavish Harry with things, the little boy was never really interested in anything like toys unlike kids his age.

It kept going on for years and even at the age of 17, Harry still went in there and it drove his godparents crazy.

Harry had no friends. Most of the kids avoided being friends with him because, for one, he was an odd child, and two, their parents thought he was a delinquent and doing drugs secretly in the forest. It was safe to say that everyone in the neighbourhood avoided him because of his weird obsession with going to the forest every day. They didn't understand what was so interesting about the forest at all.

Only Harry did.

"Harry, please," Sirius sighed tiredly. The said boy fidgeted from his spot by the door, wanting to go into the forest again. "Why are you so interested in going into the forest? What is it that you're not telling me, pup? Are you doing drugs? Are you in some kind of trouble that you couldn't tell us? Why are you doing this?" The teenager just shrugged and looked at his shoes. "You won't understand it. You won't believe me. No one ever did."

Remus coaxed Harry to sit next to him and pulled him into a side hug. "We're your guardians, pup. They didn't raise you from when you were still a baby. We do. We know you can see stuff that normal people can't see. You've been talking on your own as if someone was there when you were still a young child. We thought it was an imaginary friend but then again, as a baby, you would stare at the wall, giggling as if someone was playing with you. Now tell us, Harry. What were you doing in the forest?"

"I met a... friend," Harry admitted softly. "His name is Draco and he's a spirit that was born in the forest. I met him when we were 7. We're the same age. Well, for him, in human age, we are but he's over a few hundred years old," he said. "He's the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. No one ever made me feel the way he made me feel. He made me feel normal. He made me feel happy. His parents were wary since I'm human and not a spirit but I vowed not to spill to anyone about them unless you two asked because I know I can't lie to you."

"Harry," Sirius looked horrified. "Please tell me my assumptions are wrong but are you saying that you're in love with a spirit?" he asked faintly. Harry looked apologetic before he nodded. The male slumped against the sofa, hands over his face in stress. "Harry, you're old enough to take care of yourself but you can't go into the forest anymore, pup."

"What?" Harry stared at him wide eyes.

"I'm glad you made a friend and you fall in love but I agree with Draco's parents. Humans and spirits in the forest were never meant to be together. Harry, pup," Sirius came to kneel in front of him. "I know it hurts but if you continue to do this, if they ever decided to keep you as one of them, you're gone, Harry. You'll become one of the spirits there if you pursue a relationship with Draco. You'll be bound and you can't leave. You'll forever live there as a spirit."
