_______________________________Draco rubbed his eyes sleepily as he sat up on the bed, blinking blearily at his surrounding. He saw his pacifier lying abandoned by the side and he reached for it, plopping it in his mouth, sucking on it while messing up his hair as he stretched his body to relieve the aches.
Slipping off the bed, he crawled to the agape door and pulled it open. He whined softly before laying on the floor, still sleepy. He blinked a few times and yawned widely before started crawling towards the stairs of the Burrow. Although before he could move any further, he found himself being launched into the air.
He shrieked around his pacifier and clung to the body that held him, feeling terrified. The person laughed and he whipped his head around to see Ron throwing his head back amusedly. Draco whined and slapped his shoulder repeatedly.
"Alright. Alright. Sorry, baby boy. I couldn't help myself," Ron grinned as he walked down the stairs carefully. The blond laid his head on Ron's shoulder tiredly. "Still sleepy?"
Draco gave a noise of confirmation.
"Daddy?" he mumbled.
"Harry got a call at work, sweetheart," Hermione smiled sympathetically. "He said he was sorry that he couldn't be there when you woke up but he told me to tell you that he loves you and that he will come back as soon as he could. Until then, you're staying with us, love."
Tearing up slightly, Draco buried his face into the crook of Ron's neck.
"Oh no," George came into the living room with his twin, who was getting ready to return to the shop. "He's crying," Fred cooed.
"Who's crying?" Charlie came down the stairs and looked alarmed when he saw Draco staring at the bag in his hands with watery eyes.
"Uh-oh-" Ron managed to say before Draco wailed loudly, bawling his eyes out, pacifier falling from his mouth but luckily Hermione managed to catch it before it fell on the floor.
Charlie placed the bag aside, ignoring that he was about to miss his Portkey back to Romania and took Draco from Ron, heading out to the backyard, shaking his head when the rest wanted to follow, seeing as they were a little worried about their Little.
He cast a sunlight-reflecting spell above them so that Draco wouldn't burn his precious supple skin. He went to a shady tree he used to sleep under when he was younger and placed the crying baby on his lap. "Hey," Charlie wiped away the tears with his calloused thumb. "I know you don't want us to go but we have to, love."
Draco squirmed in his lap, still wailing but as patiently as he could, he talked to him. "I know. I know you'll miss us. We would miss you too, you know? I'll miss my baby dragon so much but I have to go to work to earn money. If only I work nearer, I would have visited you every day but I work in Romania though. Next time I came to visit, I'll ask my boss for a longer leave. Alright?" Charlie breathed, relieved that Draco had at least stopped wailing even if he was still crying.
"I don't want you to cry, baby dragon. It hurts me when I see you crying. I don't want to see you sad. I'm sorry, love."
"Miss Charlie," Draco croaked weakly and Charlie's heart broke for the younger.
"Charlie will miss you too, little one," he murmured and pecked his forehead gently, caressing his back until Draco finally stopped crying finally no matter how long it took.
"Let's go back in, alright? I have to Floo my boss and request for another Portkey since I missed it a while ago," Charlie stood up with Draco in his arms. "Sowwy," Draco sniffled but the elder just pecked his cheek with a smile. "It's alright."
