_________________________________________"I can give you the world if you wished for it, darling," Draco purred from where he stood in the circle of blue fire. His grey and white eyes stared at Harry, who stood next to Ron with a scared look. "I can help you with your quests to save all of your magical creatures. Wouldn't you want that, Mr Potter? Wouldn't you want to see your creatures roaming freely without any harm? To have a special unit created just to care for them with the people like you."
"Don't listen to him, Harry. Stay behind me. I'll get us out of here," Ron huffed.
"Harry," Draco looked at him with gentle eyes, lips curled into a smile laced with a tinge of mischief. "I do not wish for you to fight in my war, my love. I just wished for you to be my companion, to be next to me where I can protect you and help you with your quest. I do not wish to cause you or your creatures any harm."
"If you wish to protect Edward and Miss Lovegood, you know what you have to do, mon coeur," Draco bowed to show a sign of honoured respect before he held out his hand towards him, long pale boney fingers stretched out with a silent invitation, eyes gleaming.
"Harry-"
"But you have to promise that you won't ever hurt them at all," Harry bit his lips as he avoided looking at Ginny and Ron because of guilt, already knowing what his choice would be. He knew that even Neville eyed him with desperation but he tried to focus on his priority. "Promise me that you won't hurt my friends and family, Malfoy," he breathed, shuddering, green eyes flashing. "If you hurt them even one touch, I'll destroy everything you had work hard for."
Draco smiled and bowed his head respectfully, hand still unwavering. "I promise, my love. You have my word," he purred softly. His faithful assistant, Astoria Greengrass cleared her throat from behind. "It's time to go, sir."
Harry looked at the assistant to the outstretched hand and then the blue fire. Slowly, he transcended down closer and closer. He closed his eyes in fear to be burnt alive as he stepped into the fire but as soon as he stepped in, he gasped when it engulfed him with a comforting warm like a gentle embrace. "Harry!" his friends and family called his name but he couldn't look back in fear he would have a second thought on this.
"My darling sweetheart," Draco smirked smugly, knowing he had just won and held him by his waist firmly. Harry faced the floor, unable to look at the blond male but his eyes widened, gasping softly when the dark lord wrapped a hand around his throat lightly. "I am going to have so much fun with you, my love," he cooed, kissing his cheek lightly before they apparate away.
Harry didn't know the blue inferno erupted as soon as they left but what he didn't know won't harm him.
. . .
"Harry," Luna grinned and hugged him tightly as soon as she saw him. He hugged her back tighter and then pulled away with an alarmed look. "Where is–"
Luna brought him and Draco towards the study room where Teddy stood there, facing the huge windows towards the mountains. "He had been like that ever since we stepped in here. Be gentle with him," she spoke with an unreadable expression. "He's just a boy."
"Perhaps you could talk to Edward, darling," Draco said from where he stood behind them both, hands clasped behind his back. "You are an expert at taming the creatures after all." Harry bristled at the word, glaring at him. "I don't tame the creatures, Malfoy. I earn their trust."
