hufflepuff draco malfoy, slytherin harry potter, fluff, cute ending, yeah, enjoy!
_________________________________________"Hey, Malfoy! Fancy a date?"
The blond Hufflepuff groaned, barely stopping himself from slapping the book he was reading to his face. Just barely. "Shut the fuck up, Potter, and leave me alone. And Merlin, no, I don't fancy a date! Especially one with a boisterous dunce like you!" he said with so much exasperation in his voice. "How many times do I have to repeat myself even?"
Smirking as he leaned against the wall, the Slytherin ran a hand through his messy hair that never failed to make his fangirls melted with a disgusting in love sigh. He thinks everyone likes that kind of bad-boy behaviour, Draco grimaced with disdain. Definitely count me out.
"Until you agree to go out with me," he grinned, running a hand through his hair again, smiling at a few girls that passed by, making them giggling as they rushed off. Draco scrunched up his nose with utter dislike. "Not with that attitude, I won't," he grumbled out.
Potter sighed and sat in front of him, resting his chin on his palm, pouting. "What would I have to do to get you to date me, Malfoy? It's been what? Five years and you still rejected me."
"My answer won't change even if you keep asking me out until we finished Hogwarts, Potter. I don't want to go out with you," Draco glared in spite. "I thought you know how to tell the difference when I offered you my friendship? Weren't you the one that rejected my friendship back then? So why are you begging on your knees for me?" he said, referring back to what Potter had said to him back in First Year when they all thought Draco was gonna end up in Slytherin House and Potter in the Gryffindor House.
But instead, the sodding hat shouted 'Hufflepuff'. Freaking Hufflepuff! Imagine his father's heart attack when he received the news of his sorting. Mother was kind enough and her reaction wasn't bad, thankfully.
The green-eyed male stared at him before looking away, trying to find an answer. The elder focused back on his book with a frown, rolling his eyes.
"Honestly speaking," he started. "I don't know," he said softly, making Draco whipped his head back up to look at the other. That was not the reaction I thought I would get from Harry James Potter.
"I did want to accept your friendship but you decided to insult at my first friend. Of course, I would defend him instead."
And he ruined it. What was I expecting? Draco bristled at the answer, face red with anger. By the look on Potter's expression, he knew Potter knew he answered the wrong thing. "He was laughing at my name and you defended him because I was defending myself! I introduced myself to you and he snorted at my name as if it was the most ridiculous name he had ever heard! What was I supposed to do? Let it be?!" he snarled before snapping his book closed and left the library with hurried strides.
"The nerve of that git!" he huffed as he went to his dorm in a bad mood.
Draco felt the telltale of tears pooling in his eyes before he focused on his book, ignoring the tears streaming down.
∆
It was an odd day.
The entire day was odd.
Potter never approached him, tried to talk to him or even look at him!
Draco bit his lips, thinking. What is he trying to do? Is there something he's gonna do? Why the hell am I even thinking about this? No, Draco. Focus on your studies. You need to have good grades.
