post-war, fluff? slight angst
_______________________________"I don't think I wanted to be an Auror anymore, Professor," Harry smiled wryly to the unsurprised Headmistress, who had asked if being an Auror was still the career he wanted to pursue."I'm not even sure what I want at the moment. I'm tired of fighting and chasing after Dark Wizards."
"Then what if I offer you a job as Hogwarts' Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher?" she flashed a small smile towards him.
Harry stared at her with astonishment. Working as a teacher? he thought as he remembered DA club. I could work with that.
"After you graduate, you could either apply for the job right away or you could continue your studies and find something you are passionate about but you have to make sure your grades are all the required passing grades for each subject, Harry. That includes Potions."
"I-I would love to, Professor. I'll try my best to increase my grade in Potions but I would love to take up the offer," he grinned.
"Then you better work hard, Mr Potter."

"Alright, kids. That's it for today's class. I want you to hand me a two-feet essay about basic defensive spells. Is there any questions you want to ask?" the now 20-year-old Harry Potter sat on his desk, looking at his fourth-year students with a fond smile.
"Professor Potter, I have a question!" a brunette by the name of Benette raised her hand.
"Yes, Miss Burton?"
"I heard that Draco Malfoy would be teaching us Potions in Professor Slughorn's place because he retired. I want to know what to expect of him since you probably know him better than anyone, being his former classmate and all. Is he any competent in Potions?"
Harry stared at the expectant look his students gave him. Calmly, he collected his words wisely, "I assure you, Miss Burton, that he will be the perfect Potions professor for you if you give him a chance to show his talent. He is the prodigy of the late Headmaster Snape himself. While the man's teaching skill was questionable at most but his knowledge of Potions rivalled every other. You would be just fine in Professor Malfoy's class, I'm sure. Do not worry."
"If you say so, Professor. Thank you!"
"Then if there are no further questions, you shall be dismissed," Harry waved at them as they left the class, talking about their next class with Malfoy.

Draco tapped his foot nervously. He wasn't sure what to expect his first class to be like. Surely the students wouldn't like him but he had to be firm, Severus said. A knock on the door brought the blond out of his mind.
A head stuck through the opened door. "Excuse me, Professor Malfoy. Could we come in?"
"Yes. Please do come in and take a seat," he pushed away his nerves and smile kindly. I have to do this my way. Mother said that I can't be harsh towards children. If they start hating on me because I was too strict with them, they might not learn anything and ended up hating the subject as well.
Slytherin and Gryffindor, he noticed with a wry smile as he waited for everyone to take a seat. Let's just hope my plan here won't backfire.
