Dream's POV

In an attempt to regain feeling in my numb legs, I shifted slightly in my spot. At that moment, I was sitting cross-legged on a pretty thick tree branch, watching the world go by.

My attention was drawn to a quick movement in the midst of utter calm. A tall person emerged from the Camarvan within L'manburg's walls in the valley below. They were quickly approaching the enormous black gates, each stride longer than the one before it. She was clearly in a hurry to get somewhere.

Their footsteps seemed to echo all around them as the breeze seemed to die down completely, leaving the valley in silence except for the slight rustling of leaves.

As I lent forward slightly in my hiding spot, I squinted my eyes beneath my mask. As the figure got closer, his features started to become clearer as the moon's rays hit him. A navy L'manburg suit, sandy coloured hair and blackout sunglasses.

Eret.

As Eret practically ran out the gates, she suddenly stopped. She went completely still. I could see him move his head as she looked around. It was almost as if he was aware that I was there, or at least someone was watching him. Eret looked up at the trees beside them, his eyes somehow briefly locking with my mask, but I did not doubt that he'd seen me. Their eyes lingered on my masked pair for a moment. He didn't move a muscle as he purely gazed up at me. After a few moments of silence, Eret seemed to regain his composure, and I watched as they walked on into the night.

I was still on the lookout for the girl subconsciously. Without even knowing who she was, the girl made me stop and think. My thoughts had gotten the better of me just as I was ready to run away, and I turned back, back to the tree line, back to where I could see the mystery girl once more, or at least hoped I could.

I was high up in the canopy, gazing through a breach in the leaves, rather than out in the open in front of the tree line. I thought it was a great hiding position, especially because I was wearing a green sweatshirt, but apparently, I thought wrong.

L'Manburg didn't get many new visitors, especially late at night when it's dark. So the whole situation was rather peculiar. The girl was strange in some ways. I couldn't figure out why I was drawn to her. I couldn't help it.

In the distance, the sound of a door slamming open could be heard, along with the laughter of a group of individuals. Looking towards the sound, I spotted the group just outside the Camarvan. And there she stood, her H/C shining brightly in the moonlight. She reappeared from the van with Tommy. I couldn't work out why, of all people, she chose to walk with Tommy instead of Wilbur, Fundy, or Tubbo.

Something about her stood out from the group. From what I could see, she was a calm, restrained individual. She, too, fell to the back of the pack, presumably distancing herself from the rest of the boys.

I just sat there and watched her walk towards a wooden cottage, analysing her every move until she vanished from view.

With that, I stood up and shook my head to free myself from the trance I found myself in. I then turned around and headed towards the community house. It was difficult to get through all the tree branches and trekking through the bushes in the dark, but after some weaving and dodging, I could see the lights from the community house emerging over the horizon.

"DREAAAMMMMM, you've been agesssss. What took you so long?"
As soon as I opened that door, I was confronted by a boy who was smaller than me wearing a bandana to keep his black hair from falling over his face. He seemed to be staring at me from behind the deck of cards he was holding.

"I was scoping out the area for tomorrow, seeing where our advantage points could be and stuff like that. I literally told you I was gonna do that before I left Sapnap."
In response, he simply rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"Oh, so I'm not allowed to miss you now, okay Dream"
The younger boy got up and walked up to me. He then pulled over a nearby chair and sat on it while resting his elbows on his knees. He looked up at me once again, a look of interest quickly appearing on his face.

"So did anything interesting happen while I was gone?"
I just decided to stay standing as a smile grew on my companion's face, signifying that he indeed had something to say.
"No, not really. George just went out to do some mining and to make sure we have everything we need for tomorrow... Oh, and apparently there's a new girl in L'Manburg. We're not completely certain if she's going to be a major part of their side, but I'm not one hundred percent sure"

I responded with a nod as I slipped deep into thought for a few seconds.
"Well I don't think she'll be able to do very much for now with the war being tomorrow and all, so I don't think we'll need to worry about her. After everything's sorted, we can pick around at her loyalty and what not to see if she's any use to us. We'll just need to prepare for the fact that L'Manburg might have an extra member to fight against us but that won't be too much for us to handle"

"Good point Dream."
And with that, I decided to go up to my room and figure out exactly what I needed to do. There was still a lot to be done, and everything had to be right for it all to work out.

I guess sleep wasn't an option for me.
