We'd been walking for what seemed like an eternity, yet it had only been ten minutes. No one had dared to mutter a word, each of us too preoccupied with our own thoughts to bother. I was trapped in my inner rambling, listening to the voices I'd worked so hard to mute, as they resurfaced.

I'd failed Tommy.

The one thing I'd promise myself I'd never do.

And I gave in so easily.

He deserved better than that. He deserved better than me.
In his eyes I'd left him for the psycho who'd put him in that mess in the first place. In my eyes I didn't have a choice. But I still should've done something. I could've done something. I could've grabbed the detonator before Dream or made Tommy realise something was up. But no, I had to go fuck it all up. I had to leave him when he needed me most, and there was nothing I could do...

"Hey nerd, halloooooo"
A hand was being waved in front of my face at a rather rapid rate as the two boys just stared at me.
"Do you think she's dead?"
Dream just shook his head before turning away, ready to start walking again.
"She's literally standing up Technoblade"
And so he set off once again, leaving me with a very confused Technoblade.

"Are you alright?"
I just stood admiring his mask for a couple of seconds, completely oblivious to the fact that he had said something.
"Wait what did you say?"
Letting out a sigh, he briefly looked me up and down.
"I was asking if you're alright"
I faked a laugh as I walked by him, keeping my head down the entire time.
"Yeah, I'm just perfect Tec"

Without saying another word, he quickly removed his cloak and put it around my shoulders, making me look at him with a confused expression.
"What? You used to always steal it, so I'm making it easier. Plus, you do look quite cold"
And then he just turned and walked away, leaving my bewildered self frozen on the spot, not used to someone being kind to me and genuinely meaning it.

Bringing myself back to the current situation, I continued to walk as snow began falling from the sky. Soon a small cottage appeared over the horizon. It sat just in front of what looked like a large spruce forest and seemed to be exactly where the boys were heading. Quicken my pace in an attempt to get away from the cold, I practically sprinted past the other two boys. It only took me a couple of minutes to reach the stairs beside the cottage and I decided to wait for them at the bottom.

"Eh Y/N?"
Turning to face Techno, a small gasp escaped my lips as I quickly went to remove his cloak.
"I'm so sorry..."
"Hey, it's alright, keep it. Would it be alright if you stay downstairs? I need to talk to the tellytubby"
He motioned towards the door beside the staircase as I nodded in return before heading inside.

The warmth rushed over my shivering figure as I let out a sigh of relief. It was nice to finally be alone but I knew it wouldn't end well. I started looking for a spot to sit since I knew there was only one way to hush the voices. The back wall of the room was lined with chests from floor to ceiling, but there was a crafting table in front of the left side, providing a snug little space that could fit a person.

I settled down in my new spot, tightening the fluffy scarlet red robe around me and getting comfortable as I leaned against the crafting table. Closing my eyes and curling up into a ball, I was grateful to allow sleep to...
"Y/N, you can come up now"
Whispering curses under my breath, I slowly got up and walked to the ladder on the other side of the room, resisting the urge to go on a rant about how I was trying to sleep.

The smell of ash and pine filled my nostrils as I stuck my head up the hole in the floor, allowing me to see the two boys sitting around the table in the far corner. I walked over to them, keeping my head down and ensuring that I sat as far away from Dream as possible, which happened to be next to Techno.
"So as I was saying..."
Yawning once again, I quickly zoned out of their conversation as sleep became my only priority. I didn't even realise I'd put my head on Techno's shoulder as my eyes fluttered shut.

The light blinded my vision as I tried to open my eyes. The smell of ash was still present as I stretched a little, allowing a yawn to escape through my lips. A weight was lifted off my shoulders as I looked to see Techno smiling down at me but it quickly disappeared as I was hauled to my feet.

"We're leaving"
A harsh hand wrapped itself around my wrist and began pulling me around the table, making me nearly stumble over my own feet.
"What the fuck Dream?"
He just shook his head as he beelined for the door, dragging me along behind him.
"I'll see you tomorrow Technoblade"

The next thing I knew, I was out in the freezing cold once again, the cloak being my only shelter from the harsh wind.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?"
Dream came to a halt and turned to face me, finally releasing my hand.
"What the fucks wrong with me? I don't know, maybe it's the fact you're getting all cuddly with something like him Y/N, he's dangerous"
I let out a laugh as I continued walking.
"So are you"
"Don't fucking walk away from me"
His hand grabbed ahold of mine once again, but this time he pulled me into him.

"When I said you were mine, I fucking meant it. I don't want you to talk to him again alright? You're going to go home and you're going to get ready for doomsday. Punz is going to help you train while I prepare what's needed"
I just stood there completely lost for words and when he reached out to me, I instantly flinched away.
"Look, I'm sorry, I just want you to be safe. Let's go home and talk about it later"

So we did just that. The walk was in complete silence, which wasn't surprising, but I wasn't expecting to see Punz dressed in full netherite awaiting my arrival.

And that's when the training began.
